I believe the Lord has taken you through the hitchhiking days for many reasons most probable in thinking is your testing grounds to use you for His purpose. I finished reading High Plains Drifter today.. Here's a quote from your book that is very appropriate I believe: (page 116) :The next morning, I thought I was going to hit the road, but the Lord told me to stay—Charlie had something to tell me. I went back upstairs and asked Jason if I could stay one more night. It was all right with him. I slept the rest of the day till late afternoon. I was still very tired.
Charlie got back from work at five o'clock. When he got home, we talked about the Word of God for five hours. Specifically, we talked about the Book of Revelation and the Book of Hebrews.
We had been talking for quite some time when Charlie quoted something from Hebrews Chapter 10: "I come to do thy will, 0 God." When he said that, it was like something had locked-in deep inside my spirit. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I quickly told Charlie to freeze, back up and say that Bible verse again. "I come to do thy will, 0 God." I sat there dazed for a few minutes.
Then I looked at Charlie and exclaimed, "That's why God had Jason pick me up! I was supposed to hear that Bible verse! Man, this is incredible!"
Continue doing the will of God, Tim. Thank you for your wonderful testimony.
God bless.Traveler Andrew Sheets https://www.blogger.com/profile/09058451876886098168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9129556058615289740.post-53685933334884338062011-08-08T21:10:32.544-06:002011-08-08T21:10:32.544-06:00That is a great verse from Philipians. Thanks, Ra...That is a great verse from Philipians. Thanks, Randy.

Time and time again, I see the Lord take a potential weapon that Satan tries to use against me, and then the Lord takes the weapon out of Satan's hand (so to speak) and uses it against Satan or against someone who is operating under the power of Satan.

"Vengeance is mine saith the Lord." This a very true saying, but a very hard saying because we want justice NOW. In the fullness of time, the Lord will have the final say.

*****

On another note. I really believe my hitchhiking days are done. I have been off the road since the last week of June and the Presence of God has been very powerful every day (and almost every night--sometimes it is hard to sleep when the Holy Ghost falls). I am staying with some friends and they said I could stay at their place as long as I want to--and this has been a great blessing to me. I have pruned a lot of trees, fixed some fence, branded a few calves and other odd jobs--and I have been doing a lot of reading.

It looks like the Lord is transitioning me into some other work--I don't know what. He will show me in His time. It is really great to be off of the road. I have prayed for years that the Lord would have me settle down and do something different.

Not my will, but Thine be done.

My Father works and I work.Tim Sheyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07931913325290043598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9129556058615289740.post-50877784731323228782011-08-08T20:00:08.880-06:002011-08-08T20:00:08.880-06:00Amen. Thanks for sharing Tim. Powerful stuff.
And...Amen. Thanks for sharing Tim. Powerful stuff.
And another among the many, many scriptures to add: Philippians 1:28: And in nothing terrified by your adversaries; which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. KJV; /Philippians 1:28 (NIV)... without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.
GOD BLESSTraveler Andrew Sheets https://www.blogger.com/profile/09058451876886098168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9129556058615289740.post-18629605971298028552011-08-08T09:57:34.588-06:002011-08-08T09:57:34.588-06:00Thank you, Sarah.

Some giant like Goliath comes on the scene--he is a giant to our physical eyes, but a midget to our spiritual eyes--will we run away from the "giant" or will we run to the spiritual midget and get rid of him? (cast a demon out of our lives, get healed of a disease, etc)

I enjoy rereading these Bible stories of our heroes of the faith. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego are my heroes. I am believing that more and more Americans will stop bowing to the idol of big government and put their trust in Jesus Christ.Tim Sheyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07931913325290043598noreply@blogger.com
