Page8: "The cop dropped me off in the middle of somewhere. It was ten o'clock atnight, it was hot and humid and I forgot to fill up my water bottle back inCentral City. I was not a happy camper. I thanked the officer for the ride andhe turned around and drove west into the Nebraska night.

"The next town was six miles away. So I walked past the corn fields andthe hay fields of eastern Nebraska. I was thirsty. The noise of dieselengines roaring away pumping water into irrigation circles could be heard as Iwalked back east.

"Eventually, I made it to the small town of Duncan. I found a water hydrant and dranka ton of water. I then found a pickup parked next to the railroad tracks. Iclimbed into the cab of the pickup and slept there that night.

"The next morning, I walked to the shoulder of U.S. 30 and began thumbingfor a ride to Columbus. Within half an hour, some guywalked up to the pickup that I had slept in the night before and drove off init. Sometimes it is a good idea to get up early in the morning.

"I got a ride to Columbus. This guy took me to the busstation. I met a lady there that helped me pay for a bus ticket to Des Moines. I got on the bus and it wentthrough Omaha. I got off in Adel, Iowa that evening. Adel is just west of Des Moines on U.S. 6.

"I phoned a friend in Ames. He picked me up in Adel and droveme back to Ames. He thought that it was funny that I hitchhiked to Nebraska and hopped a freight train. Hethought it was really funny that a cop told me to get off the train. I didn'tthink it was so funny."

Page 22: "My backpack has shown a lot of wear and tearover the years. There are rips in it; it is somewhat dirty. There are placeswhere I sewed it up with monofilament fishing line and there is a piece of ducttape on the bottom of the pack. Without duct tape, we would be a people nomore.

"I believe the weight of my backpack averages around thirty-five pounds,so I get some good exercise every day when I have to walk several miles on thehighway. The guy who gave me the backpack told me that he spent $200.00 for itback in 1979. It is still hanging in there pretty tough. It is an interiorframe backpack. I don't know the brand name.

"It has been through rain, snow, dirt, mud, sand (e.g. I slept on thebeach at Cambria, California), crude oil (in theback of a pickup in New Mexico), hundred-degree heat,and twenty-below-zero cold. I use it as a pillow when I sleep outside. I use itas body armor when somebody drives by and sprays me with submachine gun bullets(just joking). My body armor is a wall of fire that surrounds me--the HolyGhost Fire.

"My backpack and I have hitchhiked countless thousands upon thousands ofmiles throughout the United States. Somebody once offeredto buy me a new backpack two or three years ago. I graciously declined theiroffer. I'm going to keep this backpack as long as I can. You see, it neverargues with me, it never disagrees with me, never talks back. It is very lowmaintenance. When I get tired of carrying it, I stop, take off my backpack andsit on it on the side of the road and rest for a while.

"When I die, it doesn't look like I will be able to take it to heaven withme--I guess this is something that I will just have to accept."

Page35: "This past week I was hitchhiking in Montana and I ended up in Ennis. I went tothe library and typed up some stuff on my Digihitch blog and then Iwalked to the Exxon gas station.

"Iwas inside the convenience store buying something to eat, when this older manwalked up to me and asked, 'Are you the traveler? Is that your backpack outfront?'

"I said, 'Yeah.'

"His name was Arthur and he said that he had done some hitchhiking in hisyounger days. He was originally from San Diego and did a lot of surfing at onetime. Arthur used to hitchhike with a guitar. He asked me if I needed a placeto stay for a while. He told me he needed some work done on his ranch and thathe had a bad back; he had been in a real serious car crash years ago.

"So I told him that that would be great and that I would like to work forhim. I grabbed my backpack and we drove around six miles to his ranch. He had ahousemate named Hal who had lived there for five years; Hal was married anddivorced and pretty much retired. Arthur used to be a miner years ago.

"I fed the horses hay and grain while I was there. Arthur and I hauledsome garbage to the local dump and we did a lot of cleaning up of some trash inthe house and rearranging some boxes for storage.

"I ended up staying two nights and then hit the road. I hitchhiked southand made it to Driggs, Idaho where I met up with a friend. Istayed at he and his wife's place in Drummond last night.

"Yesterday, I checked my email and Arthur sent me a very kind andthoughtful note; here it is below:

"'HelloSaw man we are glad in the lord and holy power for leading you to us. We arevery much lovers of good men who follow the path in life that few dare to seek,I find in you the good warm energy that god has bestowed upon you, follow yourpath no one else can, and remember us in your prayers we shall forever be inyour kindness and have no regrets for the time you and we shared with you. Bealways welcome in our tee pee. We enjoyed you and the god & man energy toshared with us. Have a safe and full filled life and some day return to us thatwe may share what god has given us to share with his chosen few. you arespecial in our hearts and minds so be good to yourself and we will not judgeyou but find in you faith to carry on and struggle with our human condition andremain thankfull to god first and the life of mammon second.

(5) Burdens of the Spirit

"The burdens of the spirit differ from the weights on the spirit. The latter proceed from Satan with the intent of crushing the believer and making him suffer, but the former issue from God in His desire to manifest His will to the believer so that he may cooperate with Him. Any weight on the spirit has no other objective than to oppress; it therefore usually serves no purpose and produces no fruit. A burden of the spirit, on the other hand, is given by God to His child for the purpose of calling him to work, to pray, or to preach. It is a burden with purpose, with reason, and for spiritual profit. We must learn how to distinguish the burden of the spirit from the weight on the spirit.

"Satan never burdens Christians with anything; he only encircles their spirit and presses in with a heavy weight. Such a load binds one’s spirit and throttles his mind from functioning. A person with a burden or concern from God merely carries it; but the one who is oppressed by Satan finds his total being bound. With the arrival of the power of darkness, a believer instantaneously forfeits his freedom. A God-given burden is quite the reverse. However weighty it may be, God’s concern is never so heavy as to throttle him from praying. The freedom of prayer will never be lost under any burden from God: yet the enemy’s weight which forces itself upon one’s spirit invariably denies one his freedom to pray. The burden imparted by God is lifted once we have prayed, but the heaviness from the enemy cannot be raised unless we fight and resist in prayer. The weight on the spirit steals in unawares, whereas the concern of the spirit results from God’s Spirit working in our spirit. The load upon the spirit is most miserable and oppressive, while the burden of the spirit is very joyous (naturally the flesh does not deem it so), for it summons us to walk together with God (see Matt. 11.30). It turns bitter only when opposed and its demand is not met.

"All real works begin with burdens or concerns in the spirit. (Of course, when the spirit lacks any concern we need to exercise our minds.) When God desires us to labor or speak or pray, He first implants a burden in our spirit. Now if we are acquainted with the laws of the spirit we will not continue on carelessly with the work in hand and allow the burden to accrue. Nor will we neglectfully disregard the burden until it is no longer sensed. We should lay everything aside immediately to ferret out the meaning of this burden. Once we have discerned its import, we can act accordingly. And when the work called for is done, the burden then leaves us.

"In order to receive burdens from God our spirit has to be kept continuously free and untrampled. Only an untrammeled spirit can detect the movement of the Holy Spirit. Any spirit which is already full of concerns has lost the sharpness of its intuitive sense and hence cannot be a good vessel. Due to his failure to act according to the burden which he already has received from God, the believer often finds himself painfully burdened for many days. During this period God is unable to give him any new one. Consequently, it is highly necessary to search out the meaning of a burden through prayer, with the help of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of one's mind."

Two Cabins in the Wind River Mountains

Jeff Milton said something very interesting the last time I spoke with him. He told me that his grandfather and a friend were out hunting in the Wind River Mountains back in the 1930s. They got caught in a snowstorm. They walked in the high country for a while and came upon these two cabins.

They walked into the first cabin and the dinner table was already set--plates and everything. There was a gun hanging in a gun rack on the wall. Those two guys stayed there till the storm blew over. The two cabins were a life saver. The hunters did not die of exposure in the snowstorm.

Over the next few years, Jeff's grandfather would go up to the exact same spot in the mountains and look for those two cabins. He never found them.

If the Lord can speak the heavens and the earth into existence, providing two cabins for a couple of hunters in a winter storm is a piece of cake. Thank you, Lord. Glory to God in the Highest!

Old Backpack, New Backpack

Today I visited a friend in Wyoming, Jeff Milton. I hadn't seen Jeff in over a month. He gave me a new backpack and I am very grateful. In the upper photo is me and my old backpack with lots of duct tape and gorilla tape all over it. In the lower photo is my old backpack and my new backpack. The new one is an Osprey backpack; it holds a little more than my old backpack.

My old backpack was used from November 2006 till today--17 January 2012. It was my constant companion for thousands and thousands of hitchhiking miles on American highways. I thought it hung in there pretty tough.

I just awoke from the strangest dream. Obama called a meeting locally and spoke to us all as if we were children, but in thinly veiled, threatening terms. I was the last of the crowd to leave. Before I turned to leave, I raised my right arm (something that I don't normally do) and prayed the power of the Lord be brought against him. He gave me a dirty look; then I left. When I got back to the farm (which I no longer own), I went upstairs and found that there were demons in the barn rafters. One was wearing a suit. I prayed against them and they disappeared. Then the whole barn disappeared and I found myself standing on bare ground, looking at a beautiful starry sky. Then I woke up. Strange! VERY strange!

The Eruption of Mount Pelee, St. Pierre, Martinique, 1902

At the beginning of this century, the French island of Martinique was a prosperous colony in the Caribbean and was known as the Paris of the West Indies. The capital St. Pierre had a population of some 30,000 and lay at the foot of Mount Pelée, an old dormant volcano. During 1902, boiling water and steam were seen erupting from the crater and on April 25th, a scientific expedition was sent up to investigate. The island's newspaper, Les Colonies published the findings and told the inhabitants that there was no reason to be afraid.

However, some individuals began to get worried, but were mocked by various editorials of the newspaper.

Day by day, life became unbearable on the island. A hideous odour of sulphur filled the air and birds dropped out of the air asphyxiated by the ash and sulphur.

By May 3rd businessmen and prudent individuals moved to the Southern part of the Island. However, the newspaper continued to mock, and on May 7th it published an interview with Professor M. Landes which read, "Mont Pelee presents no more danger to the inhabitants of St. Pierre than does Vesuvius to those of Naples." The Newspaper added, "We confess we cannot understand this panic. Where could one be better off than in St. Pierre?"

On the morning of May 8th, at 7:52 AM exactly, the Volcano erupted and exploded. There was no warning as the side of the mountain ripped out. Super heated steam at a temperature of 1000 degrees Centigrade blasted out at hurricane speed obliterating the whole town and incinerating 30,000 people. Only two men survived the destruction, a prisoner, who was in the town dungeon and a cobbler who hid in his cellar.

How like many in the world today who treat God like an extinct volcano. They doubt His existence, mock at the thought of hell and judgment, laugh at the Bible, and continue in their sinful ways, all the while neglecting the salvation of their souls.

The Bible tells us:

"the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Thessalonians 1).

The good news of the gospel message is that you can be saved from the wrath to come by hiding in Christ. He bore the judgment of God against sin, when He died upon the cross. He rose again from the dead and is in heaven today. He is a refuge for sinners who put their faith in Him. To neglect Christ is to put yourself in danger for God will judge this sinful world. The Bible warns us "Be not deceived, God is not mocked" (Galatians 6v7)

May 8, it is the catastrophe. The stopper of lava which blocks the crater resisted the pressure of the gases which then make burst the most fragile part of the Mount Pelé. Gas clouds charged with ashes and with sulfur, heated with 1000°, descend on the city at more than 200 km/h. A little before 8 hours in the morning, the volcanic cloud strikes Saint-Pierre. The pressure of gases, projected at high speed, reverses all on its passage. In a few seconds any trace of life disappears. Houses and monuments are puffed up. Solid walls of stone, broad of one measures, break down. 30,000 people die instantaneously, thrown out of gear, asphyxiated on the spot by the violence of the shock. Heat causes the explosion of thousands of rum barrels piled up in the multiple warehouses and factories of the city. The explosions follow one another, still a long time after the passage of the cloud. Floods of ignited liquid run out in the streets, completing to calcine the bodies. The shock wave reaches the sea. A tidal wave of 3 meter high falls down on the ships at anchor, at the same time as the gas cloud. Capsized or set fire to, a score of boats run. The city and the neighbourhood are shaven. I recently read the story of the French island of Martinique. In 1902, it was noticed that Mt. Pelée was giving off smoke and had minor eruptions. Scientists gave soothing predictions but, on 8 May 1902, they were buried along with a population of about 30,000 who were wiped out in the cataclysmic eruption. Many islanders had been mockers of God. Over Easter, some had "crucified" a pig. Little did they expect a literal fiery hell that was soon to swallow them.

Due to its pervasive immorality, prior to or shortly after the destruction of Pompeii, someone wrote "Sodom and Gomorrah" onto a wall near the cities central crossroads. The early church leader Tertullian defended Christians against the charge that their neglect of pagan worship resulted in pagan gods causing natural disasters, by indicating that no Christians lived in Pompeii when it was destroyed. Many Christians have since invoked the destruction of Pompeii as an example of God's judgment against rampant immorality.

Are Prophets Speaking Today?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. It is important to understand what and who a true Prophet of God is. It is also important to understand there is a difference between Old Testament Prophets and New Testament Prophets, which apply to the church today. There is also a difference between the position or office of Prophet in the Body of Christ and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as the gift of prophecy.

This excerpt from Benjamin Baruch's book, "The Day of The Lord is at Hand" has some good information to get you thinking about what a true Prophet is. I also put a couple links at the bottom that you may want to check out.

"I HAVE CALLED YOU FRIENDS"

The LORD always reveals His secrets to those who are close to Him. The first example is when GOD revealed to His friend Abraham His plans to destroy Sodom. "Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do." GOD always warns His friends when He is ready to bring His judgment. Jesus told us: "Henceforth I shall not call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." If we are His friends, then we will hear His voice. The LORD declared this: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." There is ample precedent for the LORD revealing His plans to His chosen people in advance. With the greatest event in the history of the world about to occur, the LORD is again warning His friends. Wouldn't you warn your friends? I would. That is why I am writing this book. Dear reader, you are being warned. Listen to His voice.

The LORD uses the example of the roaring lion as a warning of the judgment to come. "The lion has roared, who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken, who can but prophecy?" The LORD JESUS CHRIST also refers to the lion as a symbol of this last hour, when the lion has come out of hiding, and the plans of the prince are now being revealed to GOD'S people. "The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant." Who will not fear? "The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are as bold as a lion." The people who can hear from the LORD are the true prophets. They bear the indignation of the LORD, and their ministry is to warn the people to turn from their sins, lest they be consumed in the judgment. Their voices are in the minority, and they are always found in the wilderness, rejected by the religious leaders of the day. The true messengers of the LORD are always rejected by the majority of the people, who prefer to listen to the false prophets preach a message of peace and prosperity. Thus it is today as well.

PROPHETS STILL SPEAK

The Church is in desperate need of the true prophetic voice of GOD to be brought forth in this last hour. The prophets of GOD are the eyes in the body of Christ. They are the seers who announce to the people the warnings of the LORD. The true prophets have always had the spiritual discernment to understand their times. It was the function of the prophet to admonish, to warn, to reprove and to denounce existing sin. The prophets are also called as Watchmen. They are set upon the walls of Zion to blow the trumpet and to warn of coming danger. The true prophets receive their prophetic office directly from the LORD.

The life of a prophet is of hardship and suffering, loneliness and rejection. The true word of GOD has always been hard to bear, and the true messengers of the LORD have always been rejected by the people. "And the LORD, the GOD of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place; but they continually mocked the messengers of GOD, despised His words and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, until there was no remedy." The message of the true prophets will cause men to shun their company, and to speak all manner of evil against them. They are cast out by friends and family, and rejected by the nation at large, but the LORD JESUS CHRIST is faithful to send His warnings to the people time and time again.

GOD has chosen a very hard path for the vessel to be used as His mouthpiece. The life of the messenger with the genuine prophetic call is not immune to the valleys of depression. This is all part of the package. He lives a life that is lonely. The revelation of Christ can only come in the solitary place away from the crowds and noise of the vendors and their religious wares. The prophets are burdened vessels, for they see the vision and the lateness of the hour. They know the night is far spent and the day is at hand. The prophet's character is very likely to be one of shifting moods, unpredictable at times and not likely to be found mingling with the religious. He is serious, sober and not easily persuaded to compromise. His lot is most likely found hidden away on the backside of the desert alone with GOD. He is the one with a heart for justice, righteousness, honor and integrity. His words may come across as harsh and cruel, but to the one with spiritual perception, his words are received to awaken to righteousness. The higher the calling into His purposes, the hotter the fires required to purify the servant. The greater the responsibility, the greater and more intense the fires to perfect. This is the cost of prophetic ministry.

The highest prophetic office is held by those who can hear the LORD'S voice directly, and who have been chosen to speak to the LORD face to face. "Hear now My words: if there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, even plainly, and not in dark sayings; and he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?" When a man or woman of GOD speaks the true word of the LORD; their ministry and message will always produce hatred and scorn in the minds of their listeners. "Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation."

The prophets of GOD are not trained in the religious schools of man, nor are they raised up from among the leadership of the organized Church. None of the prophets of Israel came from the priesthood. They were all called and prepared by GOD alone. The appearance of Elijah is such an example. "And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD GOD of Israel liveth, before whom I stand." Elijah's only qualification was that he stood before the LORD GOD of Israel. Nothing more was said of him. He was an ordinary man who knew his GOD. John the Baptist was of similar origins, trained on the backside of the desert wilderness. "And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel." John had no university or seminary training. He just appeared as the forerunner of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. GOD'S ways are not man's ways. He still uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Many people have rebuked me for speaking the word of the LORD saying, "By what authority do you speak these words?" My answer: "By the authority of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the GOD of Israel."

THE JUDGMENT OF ANCIENT ISRAEL

GOD judged ancient Israel for departing from the truth, and turning to the worship of idols and for following the GODS of the pagans. The LORD in His mercy always sent His prophets to warn the people to repent, and return to the LORD, or they would be judged and the nation destroyed. Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and many others came and preached the word of the Lord, but the people always refused to listen, turning their ears to the false prophets, while rejecting and in many cases, killing the true prophets of the Most High GOD.

Each of the prophets of Israel spoke of the specific judgment that would come in their time, but they also spoke of the Day of the LORD, which is the final judgment upon the whole earth. This is another example of the principal of dualism, where the message of the prophets would be fulfilled twice. First, to the specific people to whom it is addressed and then again, at the end of the age. Jeremiah is one such prophet, who spoke to the children of Israel warning of the destruction of their nation, for the sins of idolatry and immorality, which had filled the land. The prophecies of Jeremiah also speak to the last day's Church in America. The LORD never judges a nation without first sending a warning to His people. Before addressing the word of GOD to our nation, I must first dispel a widely held error in the modern Church. If you fail to discern this error, you will be wide open for deception.

John 8: 42-47: "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

John 8: 47: "He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

Look at the simplicity of this Scripture: ". . . ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

If someone understands Greek, then it makes sense that if someone speaks Greek to him, he will know what he is saying. If someone is of the devil, not only is he a good liar, but his life is a lie. And those of the devil will readily believe his lies because he is speaking their language. Demons of a feather flock together.

If someone's life is a lie, it means that he has no interest in the things of God. He may have a form of Godliness--he may go to church three times a week, memorize Scriptures, donate money to proper charities--but he denies the power of God by his actions, by his life. The life IS the sermon. Truth and life come from God, not the devil. "We worship Him in Spirit and in truth." The devil is spiritual death and lies; those who follow the devil are spiritually dead and liars.

When we speak with someone who is hungry for God or who is truly surrendered to Christ, it is not a great labor to speak with him. The conversation flows effortlessly--it is like pouring water into thirsty ground. It is all very edifying and there is a great sense of well-being.

Once I was hitchhiking in Texas and this guy picked me up. We had great fellowship. He stopped to see this guy about something. He talked to him for five minutes and then we hit the road. He told me that talking to that guy about the Gospel was like pouring water on concrete--it didn't soak in, it ran right off. The guy had a heart of stone.

The first week in November of this year, I hitchhiked to Bozeman, Montana. I knew a family in Bozeman and I helped them move from their apartment to their new house on the east side. It took a couple of days to move all of their things.

As I was leaving their house, I said to the wife, "See you later."

She replied, "A lot later." (Her husband was outside and did not hear her say that)

She almost sounded ungrateful. I am guessing that "a lot later" could mean six months or it could mean twenty years.

As I hitchhiked south out of Bozeman, I was picked up by a Christian. We had very good fellowship. It was very redeeming. He was very much alive in Christ; he was not into churchy church churchianity.

When one door closes (or slams shut), another door opens.

In 1948 the Lord re-established the nation of Israel. The fact that President Truman was the first head of state to recognize the state of Israel was the main reason, I believe, President Truman was re-elected in 1948. Arguably, Israel is the most important nation on the planet because Israel gave us the Law, the Prophets, the New Testament and the Messiah: the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the first decade of the 21st Century, the Lord raised up President George W. Bush to take out Saddam Hussein (a Satanic stronghold) in Iraq. The Lord has done--and will continue to do--a powerful work in Iraq. Iraq is the cornerstone of the Middle East.

The Iraq War was NOT about oil, but about freedom: freedom from Islamo-Fascist Slavery. In God's economy, oil is secondary, freedom comes first. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." But in the world's economy, oil IS important. As long as we continue to drill for oil and gas and mine coal, we are showing the Lord that we are subduing the earth ( Hebrew kabbash [subdue]--Genesis 1: 28). We could call this The Oil-Gas-Coal Kabbash. But this is a different issue and I don't want to get on some other tangent here.

Now we come to Egypt. The Lord began the Arab Spring to get rid of Hosni Mubarak and prepare the way for democratic elections and government in Egypt. Egypt--like Iraq--at one time was one of the cradles of civilization after the Lord destroyed/judged the earth in Noah's generation. Egypt is a great cornerstone in North Africa and maybe to the rest of Africa. As Egypt goes, so goes Africa(?).

We are now in the second decade of the 21st Century. If the first decade of the 21st Century was the decade of Iraqi beginnings, then the second decade of the 21st Century will be the decade of Egyptian beginnings.

Someone may ask, Isn't Israel the cornerstone of the Middle East? No. Israel is the cornerstone for the Lord's plan for the whole world. Israel is not a regional player, but a world player. Israel is an integral partner in the Israeli-British-American Military-Industrial Complex that the Lord is using to vanquish Islamo-Fascist Slavery in the world. Spiritual Judaeo-Christianity is growing stronger; Islamo-Fascist Slavery will ultimately wither on the vine.

If faith, I believe that, in the future, Israel, Iraq and Egypt will be a powerful trinity or alliance against radical Islam in the Middle East and North Africa. The Alpha and the Omega is embedded in Israel-Iraq-Egypt Bereshith (the Hebrew word bereshith means "in the beginning" or "beginnings").

About a week ago I was walking south of Four Corners, Montana (near Bozeman) and this guy named Bret picked me up. He was a Christian and we had some very good fellowship all the way to West Yellowstone. We stopped in West Yellowstone and he had me listen to this CD by Michelle Krubeck. This is my reply to a comment that was recently made on "A Dream About Egypt":

The spiritual man judges all things. This is not judgmental and arrogant. We are called to judge righteous or spiritual judgment. A Christian that is not spiritual cannot judge spiritual things.

In my Christian walk, many sins have died out in my life. These sins do not beset me anymore--it is an overcoming life that we have in Christ. If people are not overcoming sin in their lives and they say that they have been saved for ten or more years, then I have a real problem with their salvation. It has been a long time since the Lord has convicted me of sin. This is the overcoming power of God in my life. Glory to God in the Highest!

Salvation is just one of many ministries in the Body of Christ. Salvation is not my ministry--unless you take into account that I am trying to save Christians from their milk bottles.

The Lord called me out of the church (church on Sunday) back in 1991. My life has to stand for something. My life would not glorify God if I continued to fellowship with lukewarm Christians when the Lord told me to separate myself from them.

"Come out from among them and be ye separate."

There is a reason why John the Baptist camped out on the other side of the Jordan River. There is a reason why the Lord has had me hitchhike the highways of America these past 15 years. I meet all kinds of believers and unbelievers every day. Either people will feed off of my life in Christ or else they won't. My life of obedience to the Lord IS the sermon.

If the Lord shows me judgment on America, then this is what I speak. "My Father works and I work." I only do what I see my Father do.

Thank you for that confirmation. Dying to self has been the theme this summer and autumn. Not sure if stuff is dead in me yet. Have to wait on God to do that, too. :-) But I came up here to Salmon for forty days and forty nights to hear from God. Even now I still don't know exactly what to do. But I know waiting for his direction is imperative and no matter how long it takes...that is what I have to do.

God has trained you to trust Him completely in all things. You've had no nest or foxhole to call your own. He has cared for you so wonderfully and given you many homes and friends. That alone is a needed message to those in the Body of Christ who trust in the things of this world and the princes of this world.

Thanks for your blog. It is quite extensive but I'm checking it out a little bit at a time. You remind me of many of prophets and evangelists who braved the unknown to speak the truth wherever God took them.

I'll be praying for your journey and a good place to land! That little deer caught in the fence made me cry! So glad Jesus cared about it enough to delay your journey. I hope its Mom found it again. May the LORD bless you, protect you and comfort you daily.

Dear Leslie:

Just hitchhiked to Victor, Idaho from Dubois, Wyoming today. About the little deer getting caught in the fence: it looked so helpless--it was hung up in the barb wire and it probably lost circulation in its back legs. It really felt good to free it from its entanglement. I know it was very frightened of me when I walked over to help it out. It started bawling--I have never heard a deer bawl like that before. I am grateful that Brenda picked me up and took me to Dubois. We had some really intense fellowship. Brenda is what I would call "crazy in love with Jesus!" I am grateful that she told me that dream about Egypt.

I have met Christians that seem to want an instant fix from their troubles. Dying to self is not an event, but a process. I am grateful for what the Lord has done in my life. So many things that I used to think were important to me have died out in my life. Paul once wrote that all he wanted to know was Jesus and Him crucified. If we are truly surrendered to Christ, things die out eventually and our life IS Jesus and Him crucified--our life IS the sermon. And the people we meet in our lives feed off of the Bread of Life living within us: the Lord Jesus Christ.

I could be heading back into Montana in a couple of days.

Thank you for your kind notes. What you are doing is not extraordinary, it should be the ordinary walk of believers who love Jesus and seek to follow Him by way of Holy Spirit. I have tried to walk in this way for many years and have been misunderstood, maligned and even mocked as I am sure you have experienced. But, that is the way of the cross. God cared about the fawn caught in the fence. He cares about his children, his creation, it is a pleasure to be loved by Him.

You are in some of His most beautiful creation, or you were (Wyoming, Montana). I don't know where you are now but pray the LORD is watching over you moment by moment.

You have a journey in which you must rely upon the LORD in every situation. That is good. That is right. Keep encouraging others to do the same. I will pray for you.

I get weary of religion and politics and even literature. I know you love literature by your profile on your blog. I too love literature and music, and still do, but the Word of God and worship to Him in music are my highest delights now. Even now, I am in one of my favorite hangouts, the library on the free internet, which is a blessing....but I no longer get excited about all the books and music available. It is sometimes a quandary because I don't want to love the world anymore, but I'm still in it.

I was willing to stay in Salmon amongst the kind people there. I met some wonderful brothers and sisters at the church there where Mike and Anne go. But the Lord did not open a door for me to stay.

I came back to Salt Lake City where I live, but at the moment have no income.. I'm tired of trying to figure things out in my own mind. It only causes worry, anxiety and grief. The world and people walking in their own strength give me too much advice and it brings only confusion to me. Today I woke up and read the Word, (in Genesis with Noah, Psalm 119, near the end, Colossians and Revelation). I've been writing the books out for about 8 months now and see new things that way.

Yesterday I went to Calvary Campus, a new fellowship, that has expanded from a Bible Study. It's the only place in Utah where I have found the plumbline of the Word going on. Sean MacCraney ) is a fiery evangelist, teacher. He was born again into the Kingdom of God through Christ Jesus our LORD after being 40 years in the Mormon religion. http://www.hotm.tv/. There are a lot of Mormons coming out and come to hear Sean preach. Still there were a lot of "baby Christians" there running things. They meet in the Philosophy Building :-) at the University of Utah on Sunday.

I was raised in Utah in the Mormon church, four generations on both sides. Jesus saved my brother Vincent first at USU as he was confronted by a Christian (Campus Crusader) who challenged his knowledge of the Bible. (Vince is logical, analytical and reasonable. He is now a physicist) Three months later the LORD saved me as I was going to give up on this world and go kill myself at age 25. Vince told me that Jesus had given him PEACE. I had no idea what peace was in my shattered life. God drew me with that word, and instead of turning on the gas oven and killing myself (a la Sylvia Plath) I opened up an old seminary Bible I carried around and never read (yes, Mormons have King James Bibles) and turned to the book of John....chapter 14 and began reading "Do not be troubled, in my Father's house are many mansions, and I go to prepare a place for you." It was like somebody wanted me. Somebody loved me. I cried out, "IF YOU ARE REAL JESUS, SHOW ME NOW,!" I was broken, sin-filled and desperate. He heard me. I was filled with his PEACE, which flooded me like a river and I kept reading and didn't put the Bible down until I fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning, the PEACE that passes understanding was still there (and has not left to this day, 30 years later.) I read that I had been born-again. I believed it and began a new life.

As you know, when you believe in Jesus, then a sword comes between you and those who do not love him and many of those were my Mormon family. But as you know, the Lord leads the lonely into families and I had a new family now, those who do the will of God.

My only desire now is to stay right with God. I have repented of all God has showed me of my own sin and folly. I am on my face seeking his will alone and asking him to put to death all my desires, "needs" and dreams.

As you stated so aptly in your last e-mail:

p.s. You are not scary looking, you are just big, but the Lord lets people pick you up and it is His ways, not ours. We all look at the outward appearance, but of course God looks at the heart and draws men to himself by His Holy Spirit.

Yesterday, I got a ride with a young couple from Israel. He was from Hebron and she was from Bethlehem. They gave me a ride for ten miles and then dropped me off in Last Chance, Idaho, the next town north of Ashton. They said that they were Orthodox Jews and that they needed to stop travelling for the day and prepare supper before Shabbat (the Sabbath). It was late Friday afternoon and the Jewish Sabbath begins on Friday evening and lasts till Saturday evening.

He said something very interesting. He told me that a rabbi (probably in Israel) warned that Japan was going to suffer a nuclear catastrophe. The rabbi said this before the earthquake in Japan in March of this year. The day before the earthquake, the government of Japan signed some sort of deal with the Palestinians. When you oppose Israel, bad things happen to you. He who blesses Israel shall be blessed, he who curses Israel shall be cursed.

I know very little Hebrew, but I believe that that Israeli couple were speaking Hebrew with each other. When he dropped me off at the gas station in Last Chance, he asked me if I knew the Hebrew word bereshith. I was a bit surprised because I DID know what bereshith means. Bereshith means "in the beginning" or "beginnings". What are the odds of an Orthodox Jew asking me what a Hebrew word means when it is one of the few Hebrew words that I know? A Providential ride.

He also said that he noticed while travelling in the United States that Americans for the most part are polite, but lack in hospitality. Whereas in Israel, the people are not very polite, but are very hospitable. He said that there are a higher percentage of hitchhikers in Israel than in the United States.

A Dream About Egypt

Yesterday I hitchhiked from Riverton to Dubois, Wyoming. Usually it takes a half a day to hitchhike from Riverton to Dubois. After I got dropped off in Kinnear, I walked around three miles and I was curious as to why it was taking me so long to get a ride.

I walked a little further and I saw this little deer--it was hung up in a barb wire fence. It looked like it tried to leap over the fence, but instead got tangled between the top two strands of barb wire. I walked down into the ditch and set down my backpack. The fawn looked very frightened as I approached. I took one hind leg and then the next hind leg and freed it up from the barb wire.

There were a few lacerations where the barb wire had punctured the skin, but there was very little loss of blood. As I freed the fawn, it began bawling because it was scared and in pain. It fell to the ground and looked up at me. The fawn then hobbled back under the fence, through the ditch, across the highway (U.S. 26) and back into the other ditch. It hobbled a little further and then hid under some bushes.

I then said to myself that obviously the Lord had delayed me because He wanted me to help free that little deer from the barb wire fence. I was to see later on that this was partly true.

Eventually I got a ride to Crowheart where I got something to eat and drink at the gas station. I then walked a number of miles--from 3 PM till just after sundown. I began to ask the Lord why I wasn't getting any rides. It was going to get cold (probably below freezing) and I was looking for a place to camp for the night.

Maybe a half hour after sundown, a van pulled over and picked me up. It was a woman named Brenda; she had picked me up before around six months ago. Brenda drove me to Dubois.

We both agreed that there was a lot of sin in the United States and that the Lord was going to bring more judgment on this country. She gave me some Scriptures:

Nahum 1: 3: "The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked."

Habakkuk 1: 1-4: "The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save! Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth."

Brenda's Dream About Egypt

Brenda took me to her place in Dubois and made me some supper. She then told me a dream she had over fifteen years ago. The dream was about Egypt.

In Brenda's dream, she saw the River Nile and it was very turbulent. Then Joseph (the son of Jacob, Book of Genesis) came out of the River Nile dressed like an Egyptian. Joseph presented Brenda a little baby in his arms--it was wrapped in some sort of wrapping. Joseph then unwrapped the baby. The left side of the baby was crippled--the baby's left arm and left leg were swinging around and around--it was very mechanical--it was not normal. The right side of the baby was normal. That was the dream.

I told Brenda that the baby was the new nation of Egypt that would be birthed from the turbulent Arab Spring. Joseph (in the dream) means that Israel or spiritual Israel (Judaeo-Christianity) will help birth the new nation of Egypt. Joseph was the savior of ancient Egypt and Joseph (Judaeo-Christianity) will be the savior of present-day Egypt. The left wing of Egypt would cause a lot of trouble, but the right wing of Egypt would be stable. (If anybody out there would like to give their thoughts on what this dream means, please leave a comment below)

I told Brenda that the Lord delayed me so that she could pick me up, give me those Scriptures and tell me her dream about Egypt. After we watched this video about the modern discovery of Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia, Brenda drove me to the Episcopal Church where I slept on the floor last night.

Brenda's ride to Dubois was very Providential. More severe judgment from the Lord may be coming soon on the United States. So be it.

Being raised in an idolatrous Irish Catholic family, I had sacraments running out of my ears. These sacraments are only man-made, outward shows of religion. The carnal, unsaved mind loves sacraments because it feeds their pride of self-salvation (work yourself for salvation).

We are saved from the inside out, not the outside in (by using sacraments). If someone is constantly concerned about external rituals and ordinances and liturgies, they can't possibly be abiding in Christ. Abiding in Christ is an internal relationship. External things like sacraments are only window dressing and are absolutely worthless.

It is only faith in the Blood of Jesus that cleanses us from sin--not external, religious calisthenics (sacraments).

This happened just a few days ago. I hitchhiked from North Bend to the west side of Eugene, Oregon. I had to walk with my backpack in 90 degree heat through Eugene and through Springfield (which is a number of miles). By the time I got to the east side of Springfield, my feet were aching and I was very tired.

I saw this evangelical church. They had a sign that said they were going to have a concert and free hot dogs. All I needed was to fill up my water bottle, because it was so hot. There were chairs set up outside the church and some people were setting up musical equipment. I put my backpack down next to the building and grabbed my water bottle.

I walked up to the people and asked if I could fill up my water bottle. The leader looked at me and hesitated (he probably saw my backpack) and then he said okay. I walked inside the church building and filled up my water bottle. I thanked them and tried to start a little conversation by mentioning that I was into intercessory prayer; there was no response.

I walked back to my backpack. Nobody invited me to their concert, nobody asked me if I needed a hot dog, nobody suggested that I sit down for a while and rest my tired feet (I was hobbling a little because I had been walking for miles in the heat with a 55 pound backpack). I walked away from that church building knowing that the spirit of Christ was not there--but I am sure they thought they were Christians because they went to a church building on Sunday to socialize (idolatry).

I walked on down the street and noticed a Dairy Queen sign. I had a few dollars on me, so I walked into the Dairy Queen. I bought my first cherry milkshake in years. After I finished my milkshake, I walked outside to my backpack. There was this family sitting at a table outside near my backpack. As I grabbed my backpack, they asked me what I was doing.

I told them about my life on the road and that I was obeying the Lord. We had the most wonderful fellowship. They wished me good travels as I walked on down the street. It was SO redeeming. That fellowship was so spontaneous and full of the Holy Ghost; they were genuinely interested in my life of hitchhiking and obeying the Lord.

That family at that Dairy Queen were so alive in Christ. That evangelical church was absolutely dead.

I should go to Dairy Queen more often.

Years ago I was hitchhiking in West Virginia. I got dropped off in Charleston. I walked past this place where it looked like these people were having a picnic. I walked a couple of blocks away, put down my backpack and started thumbing for a ride.

A few minutes later these two teenage girls walked up to me and asked me if I would like to come to their church picnic. I was pleasantly surprised. So I walked back to their picnic. There I met the pastor and some other people. It started to rain, so we moved everything inside the church building. We had food and good fellowship.

I later learned that that pastor invited another hitchhiker and a homeless person to their picnic. Now how many pastors would do that? The pastor put me up in a motel for the night and I hitchhiked to Washington, D.C. the next day.

It was all so totally unexpected and spontaneous and refreshing. The Kingdom of Heaven is like a little child: unexpected, spontaneous, refreshing, living by faith in God.

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Cor.3: 17)

As one Arabian country after another began resisting the established rule of tyrants & dictators, and revolution broke out in almost a domino effect, how could we not see the deep & impassioned cry for liberty therein? Though many have suggested Muslim Brotherhood manipulation – and very possibly there was/is – still, weren’t the consequent eruptions of rebellion, though violent, the result of a desire for the long-withheld freedom God intended man to have? Whether these people knew the God in which I believe or not, they knew what they were missing as far as their personal liberty was concerned. Man was created to grow & function within certain environments, be they emotional, spiritual, environmental or social, and when key elements are missing in any of these environments, one way or another we feel that pain.

Fights erupt, battles are fought, wars are waged for different reasons. Opposing sides clash in a contest of wills & goals. It seems to me, though, that all conflicts are fueled to some degree by the universal desire for freedom. Freedom to live as one chooses, where one chooses – in fact, freedom to choose! - freedom to pursue happiness…now where have we heard that before? Oh, right, the Declaration of…what? Independence.

One more time…Independence.

Enter an adversary. Or, the Adversary…who will obstruct your plans, your rights. In whatever way will work for him/her/them, an adversary is out to get you, or what belongs to you, be it possessions, property, relationships, well-being or your life. Your enemy does not want to let you just live your life, free & unhindered. Through varied means, your enemy needs to try to control at least part of it.

I submit that the motivation provoking such actions is, essentially, jealousy. Coveting what one does not have, perhaps thinks they can’t get, and hating the one who can. Needing not to feel that loss or void, they contrive, manipulate & deceive to acquire the elusive prize…from you or someone else. Or, to put it another way, “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain…” (James 4:2)

I find it interesting that this section of Scripture houses words such as lust, kill, enmity, and envy, but immediately following these verses we see the appearance of the grace of God. Hmmm…if we are humble enough to receive His grace, perhaps we will find a way out of the whole lust/murder cycle.

Isaiah records much concerning Egypt of Old Testament times. I am not a student of Old Testament history, and so, not knowledgeable of exactly what it all means. For purposes of this article, let’s just say that ancient Egypt was a powerful, wealthy country, no stranger to wars & battles, and essentially Godless. Big on idols. Probably not a champion of human rights. And I’m pretty sure slavery didn’t cause Pharaoh and his crowd to lose any sleep at night. We would not call the Egypt of that day ‘the good guy’.

Chapter 19 of Isaiah begins with these words “The burden of Egypt.” I always get this onerous sense of dread whenever the word ‘burden’ shows up in prophetic Scriptures….usually not a harbinger of good things to come! (at least for one of the parties involved!) So it is here – “…the LORD shall…come into Egypt; and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.” Note that this reaction is just to His presence – He hasn’t even taken any actions yet. He just arrived on the scene. Afterwards of course, chaos ensues. But my point is that there comes a moment when He arrives. And things begin changing.

Which is what I suspect is the real force behind the Arab Spring.

In this world, in a material/technical or motivational sense, nothing exists apart from some form of impurity or pollution. That is simply the nature of earthly reality. But possible Islamic maneuverings aside, before or during, previously or at present (and I really have trouble believing that these maneuverings aren’t an element here, one way or another), I believe at root, the spirit of liberty that is found in the LORD, and which I believe is the same Spirit that powered the American Revolutionary War, is at work again today, in 2011, in these burdened lands of & around once-ancient Egypt.

I like the sound of that! This statement is made as part of a commentary on Chapter 19 of Isaiah, and points us forward in time and history. Though it has surely seemed impossible in the past, and hard to believe even now, God has plans for ‘Egypt’ that may surprise you. I know they’ve floored me…let’s move ahead to the end of this chapter.

“In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.” (v. 24,25)

With God, nothing shall be impossible.

What has America become?

Has America become the land of special interest and home of the double standard?

Lets see: if we lie to the Congress, it's a felony and if the Congress lies to us its just politics; if we dislike a black person, we're racist and if a black person dislikes whites, its their 1st Amendment right; the government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and they do almost nothing for the victims; in public schools you can teach that homosexuality is OK, but you better not use the word God in the process; you can kill an unborn child, but it is wrong to execute a mass murderer; we don't burn books in America, we now rewrite them; we got rid of communist and socialist threats by renaming them progressive; we are unable to close our border with Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea; if you protest against President Obama's policies you're a terrorist, but if you burned an American flag or George Bush in effigy it was your 1st Amendment right.

You can have pornography on TV or the internet, but you better not put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas; we have eliminated all criminals in America, they are now called sick people; we can use a human fetus for medical research, but it is wrong to use an animal.

We take money from those who work hard for it and give it to those who don't want to work; we all support the Constitution, but only when it supports our political ideology; we still have freedom of speech, but only if we are being politically correct; parenting has been replaced with Ritalin and video games; the land of opportunity is now the land of hand outs; the similarity between Hurricane Katrina and the gulf oil spill is that neither president did anything to help.

And how do we handle a major crisis today? The government appoints a committee to determine who's at fault, then threatens them, passes a law, raises our taxes; tells us the problem is solved so they can get back to their reelection campaign.

What has happened to the land of the free and home of the brave?

This morning I had a dream about Mitt Romney as President of the United States. There were two scenes to the dream.

In the first scene, I was in Washington, D.C. standing in this long line of people. We were going to the Inauguration of Mitt Romney. People were very happy; they were shouting, "Romney, President! Romney, President!" It looked like we were somewhere close to the White House.

In the second scene, I was wearing a coat and tie and I was in this big building. There were a lot of people in this building. They were sitting down at these tables having dinner. It looked like it was part of the post Inaugural festivities. It looked like everybody was very happy.

Last night I had a dream where I was campaigning for Mitt Romney for President. I was dressed in a coat and tie and in a nice dress coat. I was in this big tent and there were people there. I met Mitt Romney and shook his hand and said, “Nice to meet you, Governor Romney.”

Later in the dream, there were a lot of people on this street. There I saw President George W. Bush.

Just some thoughts on George Soros. Somehow George Soros reminds me of King George III of England (1738-1820). If it wasn't for the great mismanagement of the American Colonies by King George III, then there would never have been the Revolutionary War, the U.S. Constitution and the greatest nation in the history of this planet: the United States of America. Look at all of the nations liberated by the United States & Allies from Nazi slavery, Communist slavery and now Islamo-Fascist slavery.

If it weren't for George Soros, Barack Obama would never have been President of the United States. Thanks to Barack Obama, we have the Tea Party Movement and the reinvigorating of conservative values in America. Hopefully, faith in Jesus Christ will grow stronger and socialism will die out in America.

Obama Will Leave the White House

Last night I had a dream about Barack Obama. He was in the White House in the Oval Office packing up his things. Obama was resigning as President of the United States. Joe Biden was taking his place. Then someone in the dream said that Wayne somebody (I didn't get his last name) and Tim Shey were right on target.

Just after the dream ended, I felt this evil presence come into my camper (I am staying at my friends' place in a sheepherder's camper). It felt like something was trying to choke me around my neck; I began to be paralyzed. Then in my spirit, I said "Blood of Jesus" over and over again and broke free from the paralysis.

I got up, put on my shoes and walked over to my friends' kitchen and began to write down the dream. I looked at the clock and it was 1:11 AM (16 July).

Obviously, Satan is angry that the Lord gave me this dream. Satan tried to attack me just after the dream. The night of the Las Vegas Earthquake dream (17 December 2006), Satan attacked me before I had the dream.

The Messenger of the Cross by Watchman Nee

John 12: 32: "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

I will be staying here with a friend in Belgrade, Montana for a couple of nights. This morning I noticed a book by Watchman Nee, The Messenger of the Cross. I read Chapter One before I came to the library. Here are some good quotes:

Page 7: "Paul's message is the cross, and he himself is a crucified person. In the preaching of the cross, he adopts the way of the cross. A crucified person preaches the message of the cross in the spirit of the cross. How often what we preach is indeed the cross; but our attitude, our words and our feelings do not seem to bear witness to what we preach. Much preaching of the cross is not done in the spirit of the cross! Paul wrote to the Corinthian believers that he 'came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom when proclaiming' to them 'the testimony of God.' The testimony of God here refers to the word of the cross. Paul did not use lofty words of wisdom in proclaiming the cross but came in the spirit of the cross: 'My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power.' Such is truly the spirit of the cross.

"The cross is the wisdom of God, though to unbelieving men it is foolishness. When we proclaim the 'foolish' message, we must assume the 'foolish' way, adopt the 'foolish' attitude, and use the 'foolish' words. The victory of Paul lies in the fact that he is indeed a crucified person. He can therefore proclaim the cross with the attitude as well as the spirit of the cross. He who has not experienced crucifixion will not be filled with the spirit of the cross; and consequently he is not fit to proclaim the message of the cross."

Page 8: "The word of the cross which we so often proclaim is actually not ours but is borrowed--it is gleaned from books or from searching the Scriptures with our brain power. People with clever minds and those who are used to preaching are particularly prone to such danger. I am afraid that all their research, study, reading, and hearing talks on the mystery of the cross in its various aspects is for other people and not first for themselves. Consistently thinking of other people and neglecting our own lives will eventually result in spiritual famine!"

If in our life we do not have the experience of co-death with Christ to overcome sin and self nor the experience of taking up the cross to follow the Lord and suffer with Him, and if our knowledge of the word of the cross is obtained through people's pens and mouths but we cannot impart life; all we can do is instill the idea of the life of the cross in people's minds. Only when we ourselves are transformed by the cross and have received its spirit as well as its life are we able to impart the cross to other people."

The reason why so many tornadoes are destroying different parts of the United States this spring (God's judgment) is that certain American and Israeli politicians are trying to give land to the Palestinians. There is NO Palestinian State: there is ONLY Israel. Israel cannot go back to the 1967 borders--this is suicide. Palestinians need to submit to the Jewish authorities or get out of Dodge.

The reason why the Lord judged New Orleans in 2005 (Hurricane Katrina) was that Jewish settlements were being removed from the Gaza Strip. Before the Lord bombed the hell out of New Orleans, Haiti (2010), Japan (2011), Tuscaloosa, Alabama (2011) and Joplin, Missouri (2011), He NEVER consulted with the U.S. Military first.

God is not mocked. Your sin shall find you out.

He who blesses Israel shall be blessed, he who curses Israel shall be cursed.

30 APR 2011 Today, I went for a walk through our fields and picked up some of the debris that fell across our farm from the recent tornados. Among the scattered pieces of tin, insulation, plywood, and other building materials were a collection of papers. There were family pictures, receipts, cancelled checks, and numerous Other items from places as far away as Huntsville, Flat Rock, Pisgah, and Cullman, Alabama as well as Trenton, GA. The most interesting piece I found was a torn thin paper that was delicate like a page from a Bible but the verses were not in order. The following verses are listed as they appeared in order front then back.

Ezekiel 14:6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn [yourselves] from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. Ezekiel 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Ezekiel 33:9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. I Kings 2:20 So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David. Acts 13:36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: II Samuel 23:2 The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word [was] in my tongue. Hebrews 6:17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath.

The verses seem to speak a message without any interpretation but I would like to add a bit of information that may make these verses come to life. The same day as the tornados ripped across the south, David Wilkerson, a prophet and pastor was tragically killed in a car accident in Texas. His son quoted the same passages referring to the death of David after his life of ministry. David Wilkerson also spoke many of these other passages referring to repentance from idolatry , sin, and abominations. We need to read the scriptures and recognize what God calls sin, and an abomination. We need to return to His Torah and live a life of obedience.

The other thing that is amazing is that there seems to be a correlation between natural disasters and making political moves or alliances against Israel. We can see this recently as countries who have acknowledged a Palestinian nation against what God has said belongs to Israel. The day after Japan made this bold alliance the tsunami hit. It does not take long to see an immediate correlation when you look through the headlines. The evening of Tuesday and the morning of Wednesday our government met with the Palestinians to set up an interim government and even reprimanded Hamas saying that they needed to be less violent since we could not whole heartedly back a terrorist organization.

While this articles says that the US reacts cooly to the Palestinian plans it is none the less pushing forward with a plan to establish a Palestinian state. The more we push Israel into a corner the more the God of Israel will fight for them.

We need to take these cries for repentance seriously and truly search the Scriptures and learn what YAHWEH-God means when he defines sin or iniquity. His list might not be the same as what we have been taught. It is always good to review. An American Pilgrim: Some Reflections on High Plains Drifter

In the past few weeks, I have been thinking about my book High Plains Drifter: A Hitchhiking Journey Across America. I know that it was God’s will for me to write this book. It was God’s will that High Plains Drifter was published, even though it was published by a self publishing company. It will be interesting to see how the Lord uses this book and how it will influence the people who have read it.

At one time in my life, reading the classics in literature was a passion. High Plains Drifter is not literary, so I have wondered why the Lord wanted it published. But I shouldn’t be judging my book through a literary lens. The New York Times Book Review may not think highly of my book, but the Lord may think it an inspiring, worthwhile testimony. There are some literary classics that really have no value in the Judaeo-Christian world view. The reprobate mind is not the mind of Christ; worldliness is not to be found in the Kingdom of Heaven; blindness is the opposite of prophetic vision.

Then the Lord gave me this Scripture: “the Lord chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.” I really believe this verse describes High Plains Drifter best. This book is not meant to entertain; it is not a how-to book on hitchhiking. It is a book to draw people onto the narrow path of obedience to the Lord. High Plains Drifter would not be considered dense writing (i.e., lots of details, much time spent working on the text). Watchman Nee’s classic The Spiritual Man and Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov would be considered dense writing.

I wrote the book very fast: 200 pages in 10 days were written in longhand back in January/February of 2000. I really didn’t want to write High Plains Drifter—I wrote it in spite of myself. Back in 1999, I was on the road for probably eight months. During that time, people kept telling me that I should write a book about my hitchhiking travels. I kept telling them, no, I didn’t want to write a book. Finally, in January of 2000, I was hitchhiking in Texas and I ducked into this convenience store to get something to eat. I talked with this young lady who was working the cash register. She could see that I was hitchhiking, so she told me that she wanted to read my book someday. She was speaking words of faith; I believe the Lord was using her.

High Plains Drifter is autobiographical; it is about hitchhiking, the people I meet on the road and my Christian faith. It is a fast read (120 pages). But mostly, I believe that High Plains Drifter is not unlike the jawbone of an ass: it doesn’t look like much at first glance, but it will help destroy satanic strongholds in the long run. I know that Satan hates High Plains Drifter. A couple of nights before it was accepted for publication (August 2008), I was attacked by a demon while I was sleeping in my tent. The attack was so real and so painful that I thought my ribcage was broken. Later, in December 2008, I was attacked by a demon the week it was published. Somehow High Plains Drifter is a threat to Satan’s kingdom; it is symbolic of the intercessory work that I do for the Lord. If the Lord is in a work, it will grow stronger and become more influential over time.

Time is nothing; the timelessness of the Gospel is everything. Some people are drifters, some people read about drifters and some people don’t care for drifters. Inspiration sometimes comes from the quiet lives of wandering, broken vessels. It is the narrow road that leads to God. American highways were meant for pilgrims.

I have also been burning my High Plains Drifter: A Hitchhiking Journey Across America and Dreams from the Lord and Journal onto these mini-CDs (210 MB). When I am hitchhiking around the country, somebody invariably says something like: “Hey, Tim, you should write a book about your travels.” So if they have access to a computer, I can give them a copy of my book on a CD. The typescript of High Plains Drifter (160 pages) weighed about one pound, so it is nice not to carry any extra weight in my backpack.

About a week ago, I hitchhiked from Jackson through Salmon, Idaho to just south of Darby, Montana where I slept in a barn. Walking out of Tetonia, Idaho, this guy picked me up--he had picked me up before in 2001 or 2002. I had given him my typescript High Plains Drifter when he first picked me up and he said he really enjoyed it. He gave it to his wife and she liked it, also. So when he dropped me off near Sugar City, I gave him a copy of my CD so he could read my other book.

A few nights ago, I had a dream where I saw this man sitting alone in a church pew. He told me that he didn’t like my book High Plains Drifter. After he said that, I couldn’t hear him anymore. He talked and talked, but I couldn’t hear him; it looked like he was talking to himself or talking into the air. There was no one else in the church. He seemed very agitated.

I believe I know the meaning of this dream. The man sitting in the church pew either did not like my book, High Plains Drifter, or he did not like my life of obedience to the Lord, i.e. hitchhiking all over the United States, living a life of intercessory prayer, being a prophet and living on the fringes of society (this is what High Plains Drifter symbolizes). The man sitting in the church pew symbolized church people in general. Some church people don’t like my work of obeying the Lord and taking out satanic strongholds [or else they don’t understand; sometimes people fear or hate that which they don’t understand].

Last night I had a dream where I was in this office. There was this bookcase and there were files and books in the bookcase. As I was leaving the office, I noticed my two books, High Plains Drifter and Dreams from the Lord, in the bookcase. I pulled Dreams from the Lord out from some files, looked at it briefly and then sandwiched it back between some files. For some reason, I believe that office had something to do with a public relations firm.

Last night I had a dream where I saw President Ronald Reagan. He was playing a guitar and looked very old. It looked like he had been out of the White House for several years. President Reagan was surrounded by many people—they looked like reporters.

President Reagan saw me, smiled at me and walked over to where I was standing. We spoke for a short while.

Then this woman walked up to me; she looked like a reporter. We talked for a while. I told her that I had a book published. She said that she had heard of it and told me the title of a book. It was the wrong title. I told her my book was High Plains Drifter. I found a piece of paper, folded it in two and began writing High Plains Drifter: A Hitchhiking Journey Across America. I was writing with an old-fashioned fountain pen—the ink dripped onto the paper in a couple of places. I was almost finished writing the title of my book when the dream ended.

Today I hitchhiked from Bozeman, Montana to Victor, Idaho. I stayed for a night at Mike and Shannon’s place in Bozeman. It will probably get down below zero tonight.

I got a good ride from Big Sky, Montana to Sugar City, Idaho. Outside of Newdale, I got a ride close to Tetonia. On the way to Tetonia, we took a short detour and visited the site of the Teton Dam Disaster of 1975. I guess several people drowned when the Teton Dam failed. I also saw “911” on a power line pole on the road to the dam site.

I have seen “911” many times since this summer. The United States is getting closer and closer to some kind of disaster. Will it be the Las Vegas Earthquake? I am not sure. There is a lot of sin in this country—especially being promoted by Barack Obama: abortion rights, homosexual rights; Obama is anti-Israel and pro-Muslim.

God is not mocked. Man has free will and the Lord does allow certain things to happen in the earth. But then there comes a day when the Lord says “That’s enough!” The Lord does not contend with flesh and blood forever. The Lord WILL judge the United States because of sin.

Luke 22: 19-20: "And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you."

John 2: 18-22: "Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said."

John 6: 48-63: "I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. I Corinthians 10: 14-17: "Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread."

The Roman Catholic Church (and probably most Catholics) think that celebrating the Lord's Supper in the Mass means something. The Catholic Church says that the bread and wine are literally the body and blood of Jesus Christ. This is absolutely ridiculous and it is idolatry. The Catholic Church will use the term transubstantiation to explain why the bread and wine are the body and blood of Jesus Christ: this is philosophical and theological gobbledeegook.

If you look at the above Scriptures, Jesus says that He is the bread of life; He is very clear. When He broke bread and drank wine with his disciples at the last supper, He was pointing towards His death on the Cross at Calvary. Jesus' body was broken and His blood shed for those who are called to eternal life. If we abide in Him spiritually, our lives will be living sacrifices--broken bread and poured-out wine--for others. We abide in Him spiritually--in faith--not by eating physical bread and physical wine. Scripture is very clear: Jesus is NOT in the bread and wine; He said "Do this in REMEMBRANCE of Me."

When Jesus spoke of His temple, He wasn't talking about a stone and mortar temple in Jerusalem built with human hands. He is speaking figuratively. When He speaks of the bread and wine at the last supper, He is speaking figuratively of His death on the Cross.

The carnal mind does not receive the things of the Spirit, so the carnal mind has to invent religious rituals and liturgies to make the sinful, carnal mind (pride) feel good about itself; look at all the man-made rituals and liturgies in Protestant and Catholic churches. The carnal mind is ridiculous and idolatrous. "This is an hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

In I Corinthians 10: 14-17, the inspired writer is warning Christians to FLEE from idolatry. He probably knew that the carnal mind would turn the last supper into some man-made idolatrous ritual. How do we have communion with bread and wine? Do we eat and drink it? No. Communion is spiritual; communion with the Father is accessed through faith in the Finished Work of the Cross. "For we being many are one bread, and one body." Does this mean that we are one big loaf of multigrain bread? No, the writer is talking about a spiritual Body of Christ, bread from Heaven.

If we abide in Christ (die to self), we are broken bread and poured-out wine--a living sacrifice--for others to feed upon. We are spiritual food for a sin-sick world hungry for Jesus, Bread from Heaven.

McCarran was a staunch anti-communist and worked hard to pass many bills in Congress that were meant to prevent undesirable (read that as anti-American) immigrants from coming here. He also joined Joe McCarthy in searching for Communists in this country's government and entertainment industry. Their work was finally acknowledged, begrudgingly and belatedly, as being right on the money. It's true - there were, and are, Communists in Hollywood and Washington, DC. Would anyone deny that today? Not if they were honest. Patrick McCarran, a Democrat, also stood firmly against Democratic President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's socialist program known as 'The New Deal.'

"If McCarran's name sounds familiar, that's because the Las Vegas international airport was named after him, Nevada's own native son, the first native-born Nevadan to serve in the US Senate. McCarran was a Roman Catholic whose parents emigrated from Ireland. If only schools taught students about him instead of that other Roman Catholic Irish descendent, Ted Kennedy. If only more Democrats today thought as McCarran did 60 years ago.

“One of the most influential professors in the shaping of contemporary theology was Peter Abelard (1079-1142). Abelard is partly responsible for giving us ‘modern’ theology. His teaching set the table and prepared the menu for scholastic philosophers like Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274).

“Distinguished by Abelard, the school of Paris emerged as the model for all universities to follow. Dreams from the LORD 2011
27 March 2011

Last night I had a dream from the Lord. I was in this city. There was fighting going on between two armies: Army A and Army B. I was with Army A. The fighting took place among these big buildings; it looked like the downtown area of the city.

During the dream, it all reminded me of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. The American Army was lulled into relaxing too much and then, all of a sudden, the Germans counter-attacked and took many prisoners.

In the dream, there was fighting between the two armies and then, all of a sudden, the soldiers from both sides put down their weapons and embraced each other. They were all smiling and became fast friends. I stood there looking at what was happening, but I knew something was wrong. In my spirit, I knew that Army B had tricked Army A into a ceasefire. It was a false peace (it reminded me of the phrase “peace and safety and then sudden destruction comes upon them”).

Then I saw strange things happen. These big columns (like they have at the Parthenon in Greece) came in on rollers and new buildings were being erected. But I knew this was wrong: these buildings were being built too fast and on shallow ground; they were built without any foundations. It all seemed false and pretentious.

Then I saw this small group of soldiers coming up behind me from Army A. There were probably ten to twenty men dressed in green uniforms and helmets. They were carrying rifles. They looked like Special Forces. They moved very quickly, were very aggressive; they had faces like flint. They paid absolutely no attention to the lukewarm soldiers of Army A and Army B. These guys meant business. In my spirit, I knew that they knew that something was very wrong with all of this false peace between Army A and Army B. These Special Forces guys moved quickly towards the interior of the city and the rest of Army B (the headquarters of Army B?). I followed with them.

What does this dream mean? Army A is the modern Christian church. Army B is the army of Satan. Army A APPEARS to be fighting the devil, but they really aren’t. They have compromised with the devil and have made peace with the devil (have become conformed to the world) (“they had a form of Godliness, but denied the power thereof”).

The Special Forces are the true Christian warriors—and they were much fewer in number than all of Army A (the modern lukewarm church). It would be like comparing Special Forces with the rest of the United States’ conventional army: there are probably 2 million military personnel and there may be several thousand in Special Forces.

In the dream, the Special Forces did not take heed to the false peace between Army A and Army B. They continued to attack Army B and head to the interior of the city and hunt down bad guys.

This dream reminds me of Elijah and the seven thousand who did not bow down to Baal in the days of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel. There were probably around 3 million people living in Israel at the time. It is always a small minority that does the real fighting against Satan.

One more thing: the dream was rather long and many of the details are gone from me now. What is vivid in my mind is my observing the fighting of the Special Forces. They weren’t merely playing church, they were about their Father’s business—they were taking the fight to the enemy; they were taking out satanic strongholds.

A very helpful book in understanding how it is that we humans “know” anything—and supremely, how we know God—is Esther Lightcap Meek’s Longing to Know.

Meek demystifies the enterprise of knowing God by demonstrating that in an important sense it is on a continuum with knowing our auto mechanic. It is the same kind of ordinary knowing—and draws on the same kinds of very human activities—as the knowing that we experience in relation to the man who changes our oil.

There are many little disparate bits of accumulated data that go into knowing our auto mechanic, some of them empirical but some of them extremely subtle, intangible, and unquantifiable. You see the kind of work he does on your car. You have conversations with him and get a “feel” for the man. The initial feeling you have is either confirmed or contradicted over time and subsequent dealings with him. Maybe he is a better man or mechanic than you thought at first; maybe he is not as good.

So knowing is making sense of a jumble of varied information. In the case of the auto mechanic, it is the eureka moment when we have finally put all the clues together and “get” who this man is. Knowing God is like that. We have wrestled with such random facts as (1) our sin, guilt, faults; (2) finding ourselves on a planet with mountains and stars around us that need an explanation; (3) a Bible that offers explanation. And out of the wrestling comes the belief that the God of the Scriptures fits the clues together best.

I am terribly oversimplifying this. I have left out the crucial part that apart from the Holy Spirit we cannot put these clues together. That is the not-ordinary component of knowing. God is able to give a person profound assurance of His reality even if the person is lousy at putting clues together.

An insight in Meek’s book that blew me away is the idea of submission as the final and indispensable step of knowing. This is as radical as it is wonderful because we don’t usually think of “knowing” in the same breath as “submitting.” We think they belong to the two unrelated categories of mind and will. That’s because we have a hangover from ancient Greek philosophy that conceives of “knowing” as a purely cerebral activity, and activity demanding no commitment on the part of the knower.

Once we have struggled a while (in some cases, a whole lifetime) with all the jumbled “clues” of our existence, and a coherent pattern finally jumps out at us (by the enlightening of the Holy Spirit), the pattern exercises a kind of authority over us. It’s do or die time: Will I submit to what I can no longer ignore?

There will still be “gaps” in the pattern. (Possible example: If God is good, why do children die? Why didn’t He answer that prayer?) But once we see the overall “pattern,” and it is a compelling one, the gaps no longer threaten. They are merely not-yet-seen portions of the tapestry.

What Meek has done most for me is to remind me that I do not really know God—and I cannot really say I have faith in Him—until I have submitted to what I learned about Him in His Word. That is the final and indispensable act in the process of knowing. We “submit” to our claim that we know that our mechanic has changed the oil; we do that by paying him and driving off 10 hours to Michigan. Not dissimilarly, we “submit” to our claim that we know God by living as though His promises are true and will hold us up. (This is the punch line of this column.)

I sometimes shudder to think of the days when I knew the theology and could talk the talk, but I could count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I had actually trusted God in an active way. Without that knowing breaking into doing, all I had was yards and yards of good chain, with a rotten link at the end of it.

Jesus was more succinct. He said, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?” (Luke 6:46)

Jeremiah 51: 27-32: "Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers. Jeremiah 51: 54-58: "A sound of a cry cometh from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans: Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered: Because the spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: for the LORD God of recompences shall surely requite. And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary."

Babylon is a spiritual city whose influence covers the whole earth. The king of Babylon is Satan. The gates of this city are the strategies of Satan. These strategies of Satan are destroyed by the power of the Holy Ghost--the Holy Ghost Fire that flows freely through those who are truly surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ (see Intercession and Paga).

Jeremiah 51: 58: ". . . her high gates [long-term strategies] shall be burned with fire [Holy Ghost Fire]."

John 1: 43-45: "The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me. Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."

I think it is interesting that the first time Philip met Jesus, he knew who He was--the Messiah. When the Pharisees confronted John the Baptist, he said "You brood of vipers." When the Pharisees first met Jesus, He said, "You brood of vipers." The Pharisees didn't say, "Behold, the Messiah"--they harassed Jesus and persecuted Jesus--and eventually they nailed Him to the Cross.

Sounds like modern day Christian Pharisees.

"You will know them by their fruit."

The Second Coming

It was the last week of July in 1982 that I asked Jesus Christ into my life. I was working on my dad's cattle farm in Iowa. I had been suicidal since the age of fifteen. My dad put me in a mental hospital for several days earlier that summer. He had me pay the hospital bill. The psychiatrist diagnosed me as suffering from depression and gave me some medication which didn't do any good.

I remember the morning that I asked Christ into my life. I walked over to the window of my bedroom and looked outside. I then did a 360, turning and looking around at the walls of my bedroom, then returning back to the window.

I said something like, "There is nothing on this planet; there is no reason for me to be here." I was really sick of living and daydreamed of blowing my brains out with a gun.

I then walked over to my bed and got on my knees and said, "Christ, if you are God, will you please come into my life." It was the toughest prayer I have ever prayed in my life. I don't know why, but I didn't feel the Presence of God until three days later. I knew I had eternal life.

For the next three or four years, I went through a time of great tribulation (purification). It was very unpleasant and I still struggled with suicidal thoughts. This was a time of dying to self (I am still dying to self) and letting the Lord have His way with me. He was pruning my vine and it was very painful.

During this three or four years of tribulation, I spent time in three more mental hospitals. This one psychiatrist diagnosed me as manic-depressive. I had to pay another $4,000.00 in hospital bills (this wiped out my hard-earned life savings). My dad later told me that he paid for all of these hospital bills. If I have any integrity in me, it sure didn't come from my dad.

In October of 1985, I prayed another prayer of desperation. I said, "Lord, either You are going to heal me of manic-depression or else I am going to blow my brains out." Less than three months later, my faith in Jesus Christ healed me of manic-depression (demonic bondage). This healing began on the 7th of January in 1986 at a monastery in Nebraska.

I drove back home and told my parents that the Lord healed me of manic-depression. Their reaction was very unfavorable. My dad occasionally would mock me and make fun of me and ask me if I was still on my medication (I was on lithium and a low dosage of an anti-psychotic, which didn't do much good) (I told them that I was getting off of my medication). The mocking by my dad got so bad, that for three days during Easter Week--Thursday, Friday and Saturday--I had this hot, searing pain in my hands, my feet, my side and there was a circle of pain around my head. It was very painful; it really wore me out. I was working on my dad's farm and it was very painful to walk and driving the tractor was difficult. On Easter Sunday, the pain was gone.

When one door closes, another door opens. My family did not receive my powerful testimony of healing, so I left my dad's farm in April of 1986. Eventually I started hitchhiking around the western United States. Being healed of manic-depression and having a sound, healthy mind was absolutely liberating. It was like I had been born again all over again. My hitchhiking led me to central Washington.

In September of 1986, I was living at a Christian hostel in Ellensburg, Washington. It was then that the Lord came to me a Second Time (The Second Coming). Since September of 1986, there has been a constant burning in my forehead (the Presence of God).

Within a week of experiencing The Second Coming, I was attacked by the devil. All day long, there was this evil presence all over me; it was like someone had put a heavy blanket of oppression on me. I got very angry and shouted, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, begone, Satan!" Suddenly, the evil presence was gone. It was such a relief. Praise the Lord!

The Second Coming has been happening to purified vessels (I am still being purified; the Lord is still delivering me of demons) since after the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that the first man to experience The Second Coming was the Apostle John.

John 21: 20-23: "Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?"

I have been living in New Jerusalem (it is a spiritual city) since September of 1986. I am very grateful for what the Lord has done in my life.

Yesterday I hitchhiked from Jackson to Riverton, Wyoming. I was watching TV at my friend’s place yesterday afternoon and I saw an interview on C-SPAN. This editor from The Washington Post was talking with Jane Smiley. Dr. Smiley was my professor for three days during the fall semester of 1989 at Iowa State University. Dr. Susan Carlson was pregnant, so several professors from the English Department filled in for her just before and after she gave birth.

Jane Smiley used to teach creative writing at Iowa State from 1981 to 1996. She has had a number of books published. In 1992, she was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in fiction for her novel A Thousand Acres. This book was later made into a film; the film was released in 1997.

In the C-SPAN interview, the Post editor and Jane Smiley were discussing her most recent book, THE MAN WHO INVENTED THE COMPUTER: The Biography of John Atanasoff, Digital Pioneer. Dr. Atanasoff was a physics professor at Iowa State in the 1930s and 40s. He helped invent the Atanasoff-Berry Computer. This was the first automatic electronic digital computer.

If I remember right, Jane Smiley’s favorite short story was “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka.

Matthew 21: 42: “Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?”

I Peter 2: 4: “To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious.”

Matthew 16: 18: “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church: and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

“The head stone of the corner.” “A living stone.” “Upon this rock.” Revelation knowledge. Jesus operated in the power of the Holy Ghost—fresh revelation. A living stone, not a dead stone; abiding-in-the-Holy Ghost revelation, not separate-from-the-Holy Ghost, borrowed revelation. Fresh, not stale. Give us this daily bread; give us this daily revelation. Fresh revelation is like a fast-running mountain stream of cold, refreshing water. Stale, or borrowed, revelation is like disease-infested swamp water.

“Upon this rock [of fresh revelation] I will build my church.” What of the born again people who always resist the Holy Ghost? Talking to them about the Gospel is like talking to dead stones. They have had a salvation experience, but they cannot enter into the Promised Land of the Kingdom of Heaven; they may be in a church, but they are not in the Kingdom of Heaven. Their church (or the doctrines they adhere to) is not built on the power of the Holy Ghost, so the gates of hell will prevail against it. “They had a form of godliness, but they denied the power thereof.” They knew about God, but did not know Him intimately.

Acts 7: 51: “Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.”

How can we obey the voice of the Lord if there is no revelation? How can there be revelation if there is no faith? If we do not live by faith, we are living in sin. If a man is stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ear that means there is still much carnality and pride in his life. Humility is the fertile soil of faith, revelation and obedience. Faith, revelation, obedience: a trinity, a three-fold cord that is not easily broken—and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

In the second dream, I saw the numbers “12120X”. At first, I thought it was the number of a license plate, but during the dream, my spirit perceived that it meant a second city shall be destroyed. The first city may have been New Orleans in 2005. The repetition of “12” twice does mean something. I believe “12” means the first city and the second city. I am not sure what “0X” means. “0” has no numerical value; could “X” mean ex as in ex-husband or ex-wife which means the city is soon to be an ex-city—it is no more (“0”) (it is destroyed) because of God’s judgment? Is the second city Las Vegas? In December of 2005, the Lord had me hitchhike twice through Las Vegas and it was a very unpleasant experience. The economy of Las Vegas is built on sin. I did not like walking through Las Vegas at all. December is also the twelfth month of the year. Maybe “12120X” means “December, December and it (Las Vegas) will be no more.”

Concerning the dream where I saw “12120X”: while the numbers were being revealed to me, these words welled up within my spirit: “the second city shall be as the first city.” So maybe “12” does not mean December, but instead means the first city and the second city. If the first city is New Orleans, is the second city Las Vegas? Time will tell. I do believe that God’s judgment is coming to Las Vegas just like it did to New Orleans in 2005. So be it.

I stayed with Kim and Pat for four nights in Kooskia, Idaho this past week, and during that time, Kim and myself shot his .223 and .308 rifles. It was a lot of fun. When I shot the .308, I hit the bull’s-eye twice.

Last night I had a demonic dream. There was this man and he was very wicked; he did something to my hands so that I was unable to use them. My left hand was upside down: the palm of my hand was on top—my thumb was the first digit on my left. My right hand was also useless: my index finger and middle finger were fused together. There was much pain in both of my hands.

I believe I know what this dream means. Satan hates the fact that I am writing and typing up my Dreams from the Lord and Journal [now called Dreams from the Lord]. I burn my Dreams on CDs and then give it to people I meet on the road. I know that Dreams offends some people—especially certain church people. I expose some of Satan’s strategies in Dreams. What better way to defeat Satan than to expose and then to possess his strategies. Satan has no chance against the power of the Holy Ghost. Satan has no chance against those who obey the Lord.

This morning I hitchhiked to Victor, Idaho and I had some good fellowship with Trent, who picked me up earlier this week. I have been reading John Bevere’s Thus Saith the LORD? It is a very good book. It is essential to know the difference between a real prophet and a false prophet. If a man speaks to you, either you have peace in your spirit or you do not. If a false prophet speaks to you, there will be no peace in your spirit and you will not be edified. And a false prophet bears rotten fruit. Look at a man’s life: if his life is a mess, then there is something wrong with the man.

Last night I was attacked by demons two different times while I was sleeping. I said, “Blood of Jesus” over and over till they left the room. I believe they attacked me because Trent and myself had a powerful prayer meeting last evening where we really stirred up a hornet’s nest. Praise the Lord! If Satan had any brains, he would not attack me like that. When I get attacked like I did last night, I know that I am destroying some satanic stronghold. I have come to destroy the works of the devil.

“Scripture describes us as sheep who have wandered and strayed. Yet salvation is not found merely in returning but in the combination of returning and resting. This Hebrew word for saved is yasha. “But you must not return to them.” Amen. John Bevere’s Thus Saith the Lord? is a great book. I know the Lord wanted me to read it. False prophets and false Christians have defiled me because their words were not of God. The Lord has showed me in my own experience that if I warn someone of sin in their life, and they don’t receive it, that I don’t have to go back and warn them again. Let God deal with them--let go and let God. Sometimes our most powerful sermon is our life separated from false believers. Birds of a feather flock together.

A Room with Many Windows

I have just been rereading the dream that I had on 16 September 2004. In that dream, after I had spoken to President Bush, I walked into another room. This room had many windows. Last night, Wes and I saw the last half of The Matrix Reloaded. There is a scene where Neo walks into this room with many TV monitors and he talks to the architect of the Matrix. This room with many TV monitors could also be called a room with many windows—windows open to the world, the Matrix. When you look out a window, you see landscapes, people, buildings, etc. When you see a TV monitor, you see landscapes, people, buildings—whatever the TV is monitoring.

Surveillance is a form of power and control. Aspects of our American culture would be called a surveillance culture. England has many surveillance cameras in its cities: cameras to monitor street traffic, cameras inside buildings for security reasons, cameras everywhere—more so than the United States. We have satellites orbiting the earth monitoring weather patterns, troop movements, using GPS for mapping different parts of the world.

Back to The Matrix Reloaded. The architect was in a position of power because he could see through these many windows (TV monitors) and see what was happening all over the Matrix. The architect was in a position of control. Before Neo could save Zion, he had to confront the architect and the architect would answer the questions that Neo had concerning the Matrix and why Neo was created. Neo was created to save Zion.

Back to the dream of 16 September 2004. The room with many windows was a room of power and authority. You might be right in calling it the war room—the room where the big, strategic decisions are made. I was the only one in that room. If a room has many windows—windows looking in every direction—a man could see in all directions (a man could see all things).

In a field of battle, if a soldier can see the enemy before the enemy can see him—this would be an advantage. If a general of an army has certain intelligence about the enemy and the enemy does not know this—this would be an advantage. If the President of the United States knows that a certain foreign government is going to be toppled before it happens, he won’t be caught off guard.

To see through a glass darkly is one thing; to see through a window clearly is quite another. To see five hundred miles ahead of everybody else on the planet would appear to be an advantage to somebody. Either people would call you a prophet or people would call you nuts.

A room with many windows. I once visited a lighthouse on the coast of Oregon back in 2000. When you climbed the spiral staircase and reached the top of the lighthouse, you could see in all directions. The Lord is my light and my high tower.

II Kings 6: 11-12: “Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.”

The closest that Satan ever got to killing me was back in January 1985. At the time, I was living in Washington, D.C. and I had just been admitted to a psychiatric hospital. The doctor diagnosed me as manic-depressive—which is another way of saying that my head was infested with demons. My head was infested with demons because I turned my back on God at the age of eleven.

At the hospital, they put me on a low dosage of some anti-psychotic. Within a few hours, my brain began to shut down and that night I slept a very sound sleep (for the first time in months) until about three o’clock in the morning.

I felt this evil presence come into the room. My body became frozen, paralyzed and I could barely breathe. Then for the next hour this powerful, malevolent being was on top of me trying to electrocute me to death. It was absolute torture; it was very painful. The electric shocks were coursing through my body. It reminded me of that scene in the first Star Wars Trilogy: The Return of the Jedi. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader and the Emperor were at the battle station at the end of the movie. Luke refuses to turn to the dark side and join the Emperor, so the Emperor proceeds to torture/electrocute Luke to death. This is exactly what it felt like.

For the next hour, my body was being electrocuted and I was trying to say the Lord’s Prayer, but it didn’t seem to have any effect. After an hour, the electrocution stopped, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

I believe the reason that Satan attacked me was that he knew that I would soon realize that my manic-depression was a spiritual problem, not a chemical problem, and that I would soon come to the conclusion that the medication they gave me was only a temporary solution. Satan could see (Satan can see some things in the future—look at his children, the psychics—they can see some things—but it is inspired by Satan and not by the Holy Ghost) that I would ultimately turn to the Lord in faith and be healed and Satan would begin to lose control over my life. Satan is the ultimate control freak.

The few years before I got saved, I was attacked quite a bit in my sleep by demons, and of course, I did not know how to fight against these attacks because I was not yet born again. After I got saved, I continued to be attacked by demons in my sleep. It wasn’t until 1986 that I began to use the Name of Jesus to keep the demons away from me. When an evil presence would come into my room (usually when I was trying to sleep), I would say, “in the Name of Jesus, be gone, Satan!” Eventually, the demon would leave. Later, I began to use the Blood of Jesus and it was much more effective. If I felt an evil presence come into my room, I would say, “Blood of Jesus!” The demon would leave in a split second. In my experience, the Blood of Jesus is more powerful than the Name of Jesus. It was the Precious Shed Blood of Jesus that defeated Satan over two thousand years ago. There is power, power, wonderworking power in the Blood of the Lamb.

A few years ago, I was hitchhiking east out of Colorado and I ended up in central Missouri at midnight. I needed a place to sleep and I found a junkyard near this gas station. I walked over to the junkyard and climbed into this junked trailer home. Immediately I could feel an evil presence in the trailer home. I jumped out of the trailer home and walked around the junkyard till I found a back seat of a car to sleep in. Before I went to sleep, I said, “I plead the Blood of Jesus over this junkyard!” I was never attacked by demons and I slept like a baby that night.

As I have grown stronger in Christ, I have been attacked less and less by demons in my sleep. The last time I got attacked in my sleep was back in February 2005. Before that it was March 2001.

What can’t kill you will only make you stronger.

I don’t like to entertain demons unawares.

Today's Baal Worshipers

"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun." (Ecclesiastes 1:9 NIV)

Modern-day liberals – or "progressives" as they more discreetly prefer – labor under an awkward misconception; namely, that there is anything remotely "progressive" about the fundamental canons of their blind, secular-humanist faith. In fact, today's liberalism is largely a sanitized retread of an antiquated mythology – one that significantly predates the only truly progressive movement: biblical Christianity.

While visiting the Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg, Va., a few weeks back, I heard a troubling, albeit thought-provoking, sermon. Pastor John Maybray addressed the ancient Canaanite practice of Baal worship and, though he didn't reveal it by name, connected the dots to its present-day progeny: liberalism. Baal, the half-bull, half-man god of fertility, was the focal point of pagan idolatry in Semitic Israel until God revealed His monotheistic nature to Judaism's forebears.

In his sermon, Pastor Maybray illustrated that, although they've now assumed a more contemporary flair, the fundamentals of Baal worship remain alive and well today. The principal pillars of Baalism were child sacrifice, sexual immorality (both heterosexual and homosexual) and pantheism (reverence of creation over the Creator).

Ritualistic Baal worship, in sum, looked a little like this: Adults would gather around the altar of Baal. Infants would then be burned alive as a sacrificial offering to the deity. Amid horrific screams and the stench of charred human flesh, congregants – men and women alike – would engage in bisexual orgies. The ritual of convenience was intended to produce economic prosperity by prompting Baal to bring rain for the fertility of "mother earth."

The natural consequences of such behavior – pregnancy and childbirth – and the associated financial burdens of "unplanned parenthood" were easily offset. One could either choose to engage in homosexual conduct or – with child sacrifice available on demand – could simply take part in another fertility ceremony to "terminate" the unwanted child.

Modern liberalism deviates little from its ancient predecessor. While its macabre rituals have been sanitized with flowery and euphemistic terms of art, its core tenets and practices remain eerily similar. The worship of "fertility" has been replaced with worship of "reproductive freedom" or "choice." Child sacrifice via burnt offering has been updated, ever so slightly, to become child sacrifice by way of abortion. The ritualistic promotion, practice and celebration of both heterosexual and homosexual immorality and promiscuity have been carefully whitewashed – yet wholeheartedly embraced – by the cults of radical feminism, militant "gay rights" and "comprehensive sex education." And, the pantheistic worship of "mother earth" has been substituted – in name only – for radical environmentalism.

But it's not just self-styled "progressives" or secular humanists who have adopted the fundamental pillars of Baalism. In these postmodern times, we've also been graced, regrettably, by the advent of counter-biblical "emergent Christianity" or "quasi-Christianity," as I prefer to call it.

This is merely liberalism all dolled up and gratuitously stamped "Christian." It's a way for left-wing ideologues to have their "religion" cake and eat it too. Under the guise of "social justice," its adherents often support – or at least rationalize – the same pro-homosexual, pro-abortion and radical environmental policies pushed by the modern-day Baal worshiper.

Though the "Christian left" represent what is arguably a negligible minority within larger Christianity, the liberal media have, nonetheless, embraced their cause and seized upon their popularity among elites as evidence that the so-called "Christian right" (read: biblical Christianity) is losing influence – that Christianity is, somehow, "catching up with the times."

Because emergent Christianity fails the authenticity test whenever subjected to even the most perfunctory biblical scrutiny, I suspect it will eventually go – for the most part – the way of the pet rock or the Macarena. But this does not absolve leaders within the evangelical community from a duty to call leaders of this counter-biblical revolution on their heresy. It's not a matter of right versus left; it's a matter of right versus wrong – of biblical versus non-biblical.

Nonetheless, the aforementioned pillars of postmodern Baalism – abortion, sexual relativism and radical environmentalism – will almost certainly make rapid headway over the next four to eight years, with or without help from the Christian left. The gods of liberalism have a new high priest in Barack Obama, and enjoy many devout followers in the Democratic-controlled Congress, liberal media and halls of academia.

Both Obama's social agenda and that of the 111th Congress are rife with unfettered pro-abortion, freedom-chilling, pro-homosexual and power-grabbing environmentalist objectives. The same kind of "hope, action and change," I suppose, that was swallowed up by the Baalist Canaanites of old.

So, today's liberalism is really just a very old book with a shiny new cover. A philosophy rooted in ancient pagan traditions, of which there is naught to be proud.

There's "nothing new under the sun," indeed.

"In the 11 years I've lived in Jackson, I've never seen this community shaken up so much as when the protesters from Kansas and Operation Save America showed up. I heard a month before that a radical anti-abortion group was planning on coming to protest. I didn't think that was a good idea, because it seemed too controversial.

"I completely forgot about it until the Wednesday morning they arrived on Broadway to deliver their 'shock and awe campaign.' When I saw the graphic pictures of the aborted baby, I was shocked and deeply offended. I wasn't offended that OSA showed the pictures in public, but I was offended that this is happening in our community on Saturday mornings.

"For years, I've driven past Emerg-A-Care, admiring the airplane propellers over the entrance without thinking about what takes place inside. I've since talked with several churchgoers about this. They said they agreed with OSA's pro-life stance but didn't agree with the delivery of the group's message, because it wasn't a loving-enough approach.

"The Bible says an open rebuke is better than hidden love. Isaiah 58: 1 says, 'Show my people their sins.' Abortion is horrific, and showing graphic pictures humanizes it.

"A major turning point in the civil rights battle was the murder and open-casket funeral of 14-year-old Emmett Till. Tens of thousands of people filed past Emmett's body to see the horrors of segregation. As the brutal photos circulated around the country and television coverage of police violence against peaceful protesters in Birmingham made its way into America's living rooms, we decided we weren't going to tolerate it anymore.

"OSA's protesting strategy has led to hundreds of abortion clinics being shut down around the country. They save thousands of unborn children's lives, each year. In Wichita Kan., the hometown of many of the protesters, all three abortion clinics have been shut down. The graphic pictures are effective in changing minds. My family and I stood for several hours with the protesters, and, let me tell you, it was uncomfortable. I haven't been flipped off or threatened like that before, but standing up for those who don't have a voice is worth it.

The Green Bay Packers and Super Bowl XLV

Last night the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl, 31 to 25. I believe the Green Bay victory was prophetic.

I hitchhike a lot, so I am not able to watch many football games. I wasn't planning on watching the Super Bowl, but a couple of days before the game, several people kept asking me "Where will you be during the Super Bowl?" or "Will you be able to watch the Super Bowl?" I didn't think the Super Bowl was that important, but I believe the Lord was speaking through these people for some reason. ("In the mouth of two or three witnesses, let every word be established." For the record: I enjoy college football more than professional football.) I watched the Super Bowl three years ago when the New York Giants won.

Yesterday I hitchhiked from Riverton, Wyoming to Victor, Idaho. I got to my friend's place in Victor just before the second half of the game got under way. I wanted the Packers to win and they won. I really don’t follow the Packers, but I tend to root for NFC teams in the Super Bowl.

This past season, the Packers had 15 players on injured reserve. They lost their starting cornerback (Charles Woodson) and their starting receiver (Donald Driver) in the first half of the Super Bowl. Even though the Packers were broke-down most of the season, they put it all together and won the Big Game.

Green Bay's receiver, Greg Jennings, was interviewed after the game (he scored two touchdowns). He kept saying, "God gets the glory, God gets the glory." Green Bay didn't have any real big stars (though Woodson is outstanding) with gigantic egos--they played as a team.

So if this victory by Green Bay is prophetic, what does it mean? At first glance, I would say that even if a Christian seems to be broke-down, the Spirit of God can still use him to do powerful things for the Kingdom. "When I am weak, then I am strong." The Lord loves to use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise; He loves to use the weak things of the world to defeat the strong. The Lord used Samson and the jawbone of an ass to kill and humiliate one thousand Philistines.

I believe for those who are truly surrendered to Christ, they will see great victories in their personal lives in 2011. The world may come crashing down all around them (the economy, the revolution in Egypt, bad decisions being made in state and federal government, etc.), but they will prevail against the world system in the Power of the Holy Ghost.

The Green Bay Packers were a broke-down team all season (lots of injured players), yet they won the Super Bowl. They lost some battles, but they won the war. If you think you are broken and beyond repair, watch and wait upon the Lord and He will shine brightly through your brokenness and inspire the lives around you.

Before a loaf of bread can be used for food, it needs to be broken first. We are called to be broken bread and poured-out wine to those who are hungering for spiritual food (manna from heaven, Jesus Christ). Take up your cross and let the Lord break you of your self-strength and self-will and watch how He will be glorified in your life. Your life then will nourish others.

"Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou Me?" Acts 26:14

“Am I set on my own way for God? We are never free from this snare until we are brought into the experience of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. Obstinacy and self-will will always stab Jesus Christ. It may hurt no one else, but it wounds His Spirit. Whenever we are obstinate and self-willed and set upon our own ambitions, we are hurting Jesus. Every time we stand on our rights and insist that this is what we intend to do, we are persecuting Jesus. Whenever we stand on our dignity we systematically vex and grieve His Spirit; and when the knowledge comes home that it is Jesus Whom we have been persecuting all the time, it is the most crushing revelation there could be.

“Is the word of God tremendously keen to me as I hand it on to you, or does my life give the lie to the things I profess to teach? I may teach sanctification and yet exhibit the spirit of Satan, the spirit that persecutes Jesus Christ. The Spirit of Jesus is conscious of one thing only - a perfect oneness with the Father, and He says, ‘Learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart.’ All I do ought to be founded on a perfect oneness with Him, not on a self-willed determination to be godly. This preceding passage from My Utmost for His Highest reminds me so much of some “Christians” that I have met in my life. They will do a work “for the Lord”, but all it is self-will with a little Jesus or a few Bible verses sprinkled on top. There is no life in them; they are spiritually dead; they don’t really know the Lord. Then someone like myself comes along and asks them, “Did the Lord TELL you to do this?” or “Are you OBEYING the Lord?” Usually they get angry or confused or both and they are usually very antagonistic toward my life of obedience to the Lord.

These people study and study and study the Bible or go to church “faithfully” three times or seven times a week or involve themselves in some other man-made spiritual exercise, but they reject Christ. They are the Christians with the “Christ” left out. Christ means “anointing” or “the anointed one.” These people are really Christian Pharisees and they miss the forest for the trees or Christ for the Bible verses (Bible Verse Idolatry). These people are into Bible Verse Righteousness, not Christ Righteousness. They are white-washed walls; they are very anti-Christ.

I don’t care for the word “theology.” Theology means “the study of God.” Before you can study a frog, you have to kill it first. We are created by God (the Word); we are washed in His Precious Blood: who are WE to study Him?! What horrible arrogance! We are here to embrace the Lord, to follow the Lord, to obey the Lord. Leo Tolstoy once wrote that theology is the Satanism of religion. I don’t think Tolstoy was a Christian, but he did believe in God. Even unbelievers can speak truth once in a while.

In the United States, the persecution I see most against those who follow Christ comes in Christian wrapping—wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Yesterday I hitchhiked from Jackson, Wyoming to Bozeman to Columbus, Montana. I got some fast rides; the Presence of God was very strong all day. Last night I slept on a stack of lumber at the Timberweld place in Columbus. While I was laying in my sleeping bag, I began to compose "Egypt is Burning" in my mind. This morning I finished composing the poem at the McDonald's here in Columbus.

First Step Back Home--Helping the Homeless

I got a ride from Park City, Montana to Bozeman last night with a student from Montana State University. He is a Christian and said I could stay at his place for a while. It is snowing pretty hard right now, so I am glad not to be hitchhiking in this weather today.

About the trip to Washington, D. C.: it took me nine days to hitchhike from Riverton, Wyoming to D.C. and it took nine days to hitchhike from D.C. to Casper, Wyoming. As usual, I met some great people on the trip and passed out my CD [which contained my High Plains Drifter and Dreams from the LORD] to a lot of people. I am grateful that the Frampton family in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania took care of me for two days and that the guy in Freeport, Ohio let me sleep in his van that one night. The hills of eastern Ohio are absolutely beautiful.

I hitchhiked from western Ohio to St. Charles, Missouri in one day; these people picked me up in Granite City, Illinois and took me to St. Charles and helped get me a motel room for the night. The next day this guy picked me up and took me to MacDonald’s and bought me a meal. His name is Paul Kruse and he is a Christian and he has a homeless ministry called First Step Back Home. The Lord is totally blessing his ministry. He gave me a couple of newspaper articles that were written about his work with the homeless. Paul’s website is http://www.firststepbackhome.org/. Paul is helping a lot of people--the power of God is present in his life. The greatest sermon is a man’s life submitted to Christ: some people talk the talk; Paul Kruse walks the walk. I am grateful that the Lord let me meet him while I was hitchhiking.

I then made my way west across Missouri--it was very warm and humid--I think it was in the 70s that day--I don’t miss the humidity of the East and the Midwest at all. I got a ride to Kansas City, Kansas and started walking west on I-70 when this tractor-trailer pulled over and picked me up. This guy took me all the way to Denver--he even bought me a sandwich somewhere in Kansas. I then hitchhiked north out of Denver and got a ride with a young lady and her son from Wellington, Colorado all the way to Casper, Wyoming. When we got to Casper, I-25 was closed because of a snow storm that hit the area a few days before, so this young lady helped get me a motel room on the east side of Casper for one night. A couple of days later I made it to Montana.

First Step Back Home

Eventhough I hitchhike a lot and don't have a home to live in, I do not consider myself to be homeless. My home is with the Lord Jesus Christ, New Jerusalem, Zion, the Presence of God. Home is where the heart is. I have lived in houses where I DID think I was homeless, because the Spirit of God was not there. Jesus is with me everywhere I go. I am the richest man on the planet.

Two Emails (Intercession)

I recently sent two emails to a Christian lady that I know. In these emails, I tried to explain to her my work of intercessory prayer. There are different levels of intercession just like there are different levels of Christian maturity or spirituality.

When Samson took the jawbone of an ass and killed one thousand Philistines, this was a physical foreshadowing of the spiritual warfare that intercessors do in the New Testament—those who are surrendered to Christ. I love the word “surrender”; Watchman Nee once wrote that the word “surrender” is a better and more powerful word than “submit”. I would like to think that if a Christian is truly surrendered to Christ, that he is truly dissolved into Christ.

I just read your comment and you asked about intercession. It is probably providential that you asked because, earlier today, I was talking with a Christian lady and I tried to explain to her my intercessory work.

There are different levels of intercession. You can pray in English and ask the Lord for wisdom or strength. You can pray in tongues. Back in 1992 the Lord told me not to pray in English; He told me to obey Him and let the Holy Ghost/Presence of God flow through me and satanic strongholds would be taken out [the phrase “and satanic strongholds would be taken out” was an understanding that came later in my life]. Most people don't know what I mean by intercession (or my work of intercession). It is a lifestyle of obedience to the Lord. Since I am obeying Him (taking up my cross and following Him—dying to self), He will glorify my body and this is what destroys satanic strongholds. You can also call it rapture.

There is no such thing as a bodily or physical rapture. Rapture is spiritual—you are rapt up into the Presence of God. It can be very powerful. One time I was burning up in the Holy Ghost (glorification/rapture)—and when this happens, it feels like your eyes are going to burn right out of their sockets, it is so intense. Sometimes it is hard to see. Sometimes people see the light coming out of your eyes and it scares the tar out of them. Anyway, one time I was burning up in the Holy Ghost and the next day Saddam Hussein was captured. This other time I was burning up in the Holy Ghost and Al Zaquari [spelling incorrect; it should be Abu Musab al-Zarqawi] was killed the next day.

The Lord uses my intercession to destroy satanic (Muslim or anything satanic) strongholds–-it is very strategic and it is very hard for me to explain it to people.

You don't have to pray in tongues to be in tune with the Holy Ghost. You definitely are sensitive to the Holy Ghost because it is all over your blog. I have met tongue talkers who were spiritually dead.

My intercession is not using words—English or tongues. The Lord glorifies my body and this is what removes the satanic stronghold. I do pray in English or tongues once in a while, but that is a different kind of intercession.

About Saddam Hussein: No, I did not consciously pray for his capture. The Presence of God was very strong on me for a day or two before his capture and I know that the two were linked. In my intercession, I do not consciously pray or think of anything: it is the power of God flowing through me because I have willingly laid my life down (died to self) and let the Lord run my life. Too many Christians do their own thing and call it the will of God and they wonder why the Lord doesn't do anything powerful in their lives.

Yes, I am still hitchhiking. I might be in one place for one to three nights and then I hit the road. I am always going, always walking and hitchhiking. I would rather not, but this is God's will for my life. Mount Moriah revisited.

I John 2: 15-17: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life." Let us look at the origins of sin in the earth and go back to Genesis 3: 6: "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant (Hebrew: "a desire") to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her: and he did eat."

"The lust of the flesh": "the tree was good for food." "The lust of the eyes": "it was pleasant to the eyes." "The pride of life": "a tree to be desired to make one wise." Look at the word "desire": it is a snare unto itself. Just because you are a Christian and you desire something doesn't mean that it is God's will that you have it. "But I have my needs!" Maybe your needs and your desires need to be put to death. Maybe the Lord wants you to be content with Him and Him alone before He deems it necessary to give you anything else.

Before I got saved, my desire in life was to be a writer. I wrote a novella at the age of twenty-one, but it never got published. I wrote several short stories and some poetry, but was never published. I got saved at the age of twenty-two. At the age of twenty-five, I burned all of my manuscripts--somewhere between ten to fifteen legal pads and notebooks--because I wanted God and God alone (seek the kingdom of Heaven first).

When I was twenty-eight, the Lord told me to go back to college. At Iowa State University, I majored in English Literature with a supporting field in Journalism and Mass Communications--I wrote a lot of papers and had a lot of essay tests. During college and just after college, I had a short story and two poems published (because it was God's will) by Ethos magazine. When I was thirty-nine, the Lord told me to write a book about hitchhiking. Now, at the age of forty-five, I am working on a journal. I may be writing this journal for the rest of my life. I don't see how it will ever be published, but there may be a few Christians out there who might appreciate it. If I get married and have children, then hopefully my children and descendents might get something out of it. If my journal glorifies God, then that is all that matters: the Lord will multiply my work and it will bear much fruit.

The key thing is this: I was desperate for God, not my writing. When the Lord could see that I was wholly dedicated to Him and absolutely locked into Him, then He told me to start writing. Don't get the cart before the horse: put God first. Then the Lord will provide the road and then the horse and then the cart and the destination where the goods need to be transported. Without God there is no road, there is no horse, there is no cart, there are no goods and there is no destination. Without God there is nothing.

My desire is to know God and to know Him more perfectly. The word "know" isn't having knowledge of God, but to experience God, to abide in God, to have the Presence of God invade and permeate my body, soul and spirit. Without intimacy with God, I can do nothing for my fellow man. I cannot turn the world upside down for Christ.

If a light bulb has no electricity running through it, it cannot give light in a dark place. If a light bulb is broken, it is useless. If a light bulb is not screwed into the socket, it is useless. If a Christian is busy chasing the world and is not abiding in Christ, He is useless. If our light is darkness, then how great is that darkness?

One of my heroes of the Christian faith is John Milton (1608-1674). Why did his life and writings affect so many millions in England, America and the rest of the world? Because his desire was to know God and to know Him more perfectly.

Vantage Point

Last night Felice told me that I should watch the movie Vantage Point. She told me two or three times to watch it, so I thought I would watch it because I believe that the Lord prompted her to tell me. “In the mouth of two or three witnesses, let every word be established.”

I watched Vantage Point this morning. I liked it, though at times it was a little annoying having the same scene be repeated time and time again (but, of course, the repetition was done for a reason; “In the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established.”).

The main character (Thomas Barnes) is played by Dennis Quaid; he is a Secret Service agent. In the movie, he sees things that other people/Secret Service agents/the GNN TV crew don’t see. I identified myself with Thomas Barnes. Time and time again, the Lord lets me see things that few or no other people (Christians) see. It is like the Lord puts Barnes in different situations to show him parts of the puzzle. During the movie, Barnes finally puts the pieces of the puzzle together and is able to save the President of the United States.

I also noticed the letter “V” in the movie. This could mean the number 5 or victory. It could also mean revenge. In World War II, Hitler launched the V1 and V2 rockets against Great Britain: it was called the Revenge Weapon or Vengeance Weapon. So maybe the word revenge has something to do with the movie Vantage Point. The letter “V” could also be a veiled reference to the first word in the title of the movie: vantage.

Different people in the movie had different angles on the assassination attempt; they had different vantage points. Obviously, Thomas Barnes had the best vantage point because he was placed in certain places where different pieces of the puzzle could be presented to him. Even though he was hindered at times from doing his job (the control center was compromised and a Secret Service agent turned rogue), he was resourceful and tenacious enough to chase down the bad guys and save the President.

On a fast-moving battlefield, you have to be resourceful and tenacious to survive and ultimately defeat the enemy. A Christian needs to be humble before the Lord so that the Lord can reveal new details about the intent and the movement of the enemy. The strategies of Hell cannot prevail against fresh revelation knowledge from the Lord.

A Ransom for Many

Mark 10: 42-45: "But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be the servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

If Jesus gave His life as a ransom for many people, shouldn't we do the same? Time and again I think that walking all over the place with a backpack and hitchhiking and never staying in one place for very long seems so foolish. How long do I have to do this? When can I settle down and have a basic job and have a place to live? If being a ransom for many means that the Lord wants me to travel the highways and the byways and follow Him, then there is nothing I can do about it. I have been bought with a price: salvation is not cheap, grace is not cheap: it was the price of the Son of God when He was flogged half to death and then died on the Cross--with nails pounded through his hands and feet. We don't have to understand all that the Lord tells us. Yes, the Lord gives me understanding in some things, not all things. If we understood all things, then where would be the humility, the living by faith and revelation? Prideful people don't need to live by faith--they live by self-reliance, not God-reliance. The humble man has a broken and contrite heart and is seeking God daily: he obeys the Lord even though he does not understand what the outcome will be: he is living by faith and not by sight.

It looks like the Lord wants me to hitchhike west towards Bozeman and then back to Jackson. In my flesh I ask, why does the Lord want me to hitchhike so much through Bozeman and Jackson? I really get sick of it. It is so repetitious. At least I have a healthy hatred for sin and for the world system. Maybe that is God's ulterior motive: I really do hate the world with a perfect hatred. The love of the world is enmity with the Father.

Grow Deeper in Christ

James 4: 4: “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

Whenever I think of the word adulterer or adulteress or adultery, I think of sexual sin. But if a man loves the world, chases after the things of the world, is conformed to the world, he is an adulterer pure and simple. Pure adultery is absolute impurity pure and simple. The world is always bombarding us with lies and images: temptations through the media (visual, audio, print), public education systems or through the mouth of an unbeliever. It is a daily struggle to keep us unspotted from the world, to be unadulterated from the dirt of the world. As long as we have a submitted heart to the Lord, He will protect us. James 4: 7: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

I have always loved this verse: James 4: 8: “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” There should be a daily yearning for God, a daily abiding in God. I meet people who say, “I was saved thirty years ago” and they are still baby Christians. So you have been a baby Christian for thirty years: how does that glorify God? Someone graduates from the first grade: does that mean he is educated? No. Graduating from the first grade is part of that lifelong process called education. I have met people with college degrees who I thought were semi-illiterate idiots. Just because you have a college degree does not mean that you are educated; it probably means that you are indoctrinated with liberal (satanic) ideology.

Being born again is important, but staying at a first grade conversion level of spirituality for thirty or forty or fifty years really does not glorify God. Throw away the milk bottle—draw nigh to God—and begin partaking of the meat of the Word. Christians who are not drawing nigh to God every day are lazy and complacent. We are to grow deeper in Christ: we are not to make a tomb or a whitewashed wall out of salvation. To some people, salvation is another excuse for idolatry or putting God in a box. Get out of the box and get into New Jerusalem.

Barack Obama is in the White House because there is so much sin in the United States—God’s judgment.

Zechariah 2: 5: “For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.”

“A wall of fire.” Glorified body. Spiritual rapture. Intercession. “At the rebuke of His countenance they fled.” Holy Ghost Fire.

Zechariah 2: 7: “Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.”

“Come out from among them and be ye separate.”

Zechariah 4: 6: “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”

The sword has power. The pen is mightier than the sword. The Holy Ghost is more powerful than the pen and the sword.

Zechariah 9: 13: “When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.”

We are the weapon that the Lord wields in His hand. In the New Testament, the jawbone of an ass is a subject; in the Old Testament, the jawbone is an object. If we abide in Christ (Zion), we will defeat the world system (Greece).

Zechariah 12: 3-5: “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. In that day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of hosts their God.”

Those who attack the believers who abide in the Presence of God (Zion, Jerusalem) shall be confounded and defeated.

Zechariah 12: 6: “In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.”

New Jerusalem. The Kingdom of Heaven. The Holy Ghost Fire shall defeat the satanic strongholds that keep people in bondage. “Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.” Alpha and Omega. From here to here. “Be still and know that I am God.” Abide in the peace and stillness of Christ (Jesus, the Sabbath Rest) and watch your enemies (demons) scatter.

Zechariah 13: 6: “And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.”

“The house of my friends.” Jesus was rejected and crucified by most Jewish church people. Jesus is rejected today by most Christian church people. Either most people will never learn or a sin is a sin is a sin and most people don’t like to be convicted of sin (so get rid of the guy who convicts us of sin, but do not get rid of our own sin).

Zechariah 13: 9: “And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.”

Believers purified by the Holy Ghost Fire. They will hear the voice of the Lord and obey the Lord (the Word, not the Bible).

Zechariah 14: 17-18: “And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be a plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.”

The people who refuse to enter into the Presence of God will not be blessed; they will live in spiritual dryness.

Governed by the Holy Ghost

Galatians 5: 18: “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”

The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. The law is our schoolmaster until Christ be formed in us. The law and the letter came at Mt. Sinai. The Spirit was available after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To be led by the Holy Spirit is where the Lord wants us—not to be constantly thinking about the letter of the law. The Lord doesn’t want us to be governed by the letter of the law, but to be governed by the Holy Ghost. The Law and the Prophets and the New Testament should be engraved in our hearts—it should be engrafted into our Spirit man. We should be a law unto ourselves.

The law is death. The letter is death. The flesh is death. The Spirit is life, peace, spontaneity, childlikeness, light, freedom, fresh revelation, wisdom and strength. My life of obedience to the Holy Ghost really disturbs Christians who are in bondage to legalism. They really get rattled. I am sure that when I was younger I had some legalism in me, but because I wanted the power of the Holy Ghost in my life, legalism eventually died out. The more you kick the demons out of your body and your soul, the freer you become. To be a bond slave of Christ is to be a free man; to be a bond slave of self will is slavery and sin and death. When a vessel willingly submits to the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost gives that vessel overcoming power over sin. The law is the box; the Holy Ghost is outside the box. Let us suffer His reproach without the box. We are not lawless, but a law unto ourselves: the “law” of the Holy Ghost.

Are You An Angel?--Hitchhiking in Wyoming

Yesterday I hitchhiked from Riverton to Jackson, Wyoming. I got a ride from Pinedale to Daniel and got dropped off at this gas station. I walked inside the gas station and got a cup of hot chocolate. I talked with the lady at the cash register and she said that I looked cold (it was probably around 0 to 5 degrees F at that time). I said I was hitchhiking and that I was a Christian.

Then she smiled at me and asked, “Are you an angel?”

I laughed and told her that I was hitchhiking in South Dakota a number of years ago and this guy picked me up. He was a Christian and we were talking about the things of God and then he looked at me and asked me if I thought that the Lord had angels hitchhiking around the country. I think he was implying that I was an angel. I told him that if he stuck me with a knife that I would bleed all over the place and that I was not an angel.

The lady at the gas register was very friendly and asked about my hitchhiking travels. I wrote down my book and my blog for her on a piece of paper. She had very beautiful blue eyes.

I am Baptized in the Holy Ghost and with Fire!

John 4: 23-24: “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship. God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

The true worshippers. The full Gospel. The Holy Ghost and Scripture. Shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. There is a powerful balance when you have the power of the Holy Ghost and the knowledge of Scripture engrafted into your Spirit man. The Holy Ghost and Scripture is a two-edged sword that Satan hates. Satan can find ways to inflict damage on someone who is only in the Holy Ghost or who is only into Scripture. I think it is interesting to note that the word “spirit” precedes the word “truth”. We can’t get the cart before the horse. We need the Holy Ghost to teach us the Scripture. How can you understand Scripture if you are not born again? Then when you get baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues, the Bible becomes an even more living, breathing document.

When Adam was in the Garden of Eden (before he sinned), he did not have the Law, the Prophets or the New Testament, but he did have the unbroken Presence of God (the Holy Ghost) to guide him and sustain him. The Lord did not have to give him a written book to tell Adam what to do, the Lord spoke to Adam in his spirit: Spirit to spirit: perfect communion.

And they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. It doesn’t say you must worship Him in a building. If a building has a pastor in it that is submitted to the Holy Ghost, then the congregation is in good hands. The congregation is in the building not because of the building, but because of the Holy Ghost.

When I meet people on the road, I don’t care if they are Pentecostal, Methodist, Roman Catholic, Baptist or non-churchgoers. I tell them about Jesus, the Word of God and the Holy Ghost. Let’s get the horse before the cart. Without a horse, the cart is dead in its tracks; without the cart, you can still ride the horse. John Wesley rode on horseback all over England: he didn’t need a cart. Wouldn’t it be beautiful if the Lord told some Holy Ghost believer to buy a horse and go on horseback and preach the Gospel in England? Or maybe it would be easier to hitchhike. America owes so much to England and the rest of Great Britain—a lot of powerful saints came out of Scotland and Wales. Get on your horse and ride in the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost Riders.

I Kings 18: 46: “And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” In the back of my Bible I have a map of Israel and the distance between Mt. Carmel and Jezreel is about 25 miles. This old man named Elijah outran the king’s chariots in the power of the Holy Ghost. Some people hitchhike in the Holy Ghost, some people ride horses in the Holy Ghost and some people run in the Holy Ghost.

Sans teeth, sans taste, sans horse, sans everything.

I was working for Pike Construction back in Ames, Iowa and I was doing demolition work: I would use a sledgehammer and break down these brick and mortar walls, shovel it up into a garbage can and haul it out to this dump truck. One morning we got this new guy and he worked with me his first day. He was built like a brick house: he was around 5’ 9”, 235 pounds, had 19-inch biceps (that’s what he told me—maybe he only had 18-inch biceps)—he was a body builder. The second day he came to the job site, he said that he couldn’t keep up with me, so he would do carpenter work. That was okay with me because he had more experience than me in carpenter work. After about a week, this guy said to me, “Tim, how do you do it? You’re swinging that sledgehammer all day long and you don’t let up. Look at me; look at the size of my arms. Now look at you; look at the size of your arms (at the time I was 5’11” and 175 pounds). How do you do it? You never get tired.”

I looked at him and said, “Because I am baptized in the Holy Ghost and with Fire!”

The guy about had a heart attack. He didn’t know what to think. From that time on he would ask me questions about the Bible and spiritual things. So the moral of the story is: if you swing your sledgehammer in a responsible, Holy Ghost manner, someone eventually may enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Elijah . . . ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel in a responsible, Holy Ghost manner.

I came, I saw, I swung my sledgehammer in the power of the Holy Ghost. With the sledge of a hammer, heaps upon heaps, with the sledge of a hammer, have I slain a thousand men. And he cast the sledgehammer out of his hand and called that place Ramath-sledgehammer.

Judges 13: 25: “And the spirit of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.”

One thing about Samson: at least he slew the Philistines in a responsible, Holy Ghost manner.

A Great Mulititude Followed Him

Mark 3: 7-8: “But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea, and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.” These two verses are very interesting. It says a great multitude followed Him—from Israel and outside of Israel. How many Scribes and Pharisees were among this multitude? How many theologians? How many of those who indulge in the knowledge of good and evil? The common man could see that Jesus was special. Some came to the conclusion right away that He was the Messiah. Some were curious and eventually called Him a teacher or a prophet.

Where were the temple types, the box makers, and the people in authority who told people what to do but did not do it themselves? I believe the word “hypocrite” means actor. Don’t act it; be it, live it. But as we know, the carnal, unsaved mind loves a power trip. The people in power—the temple priests—absolutely resented the life and work of Jesus. He was the real deal. He preached and taught with authority. He did not have a Ph.D. from Hebrew University. He lived by faith and revelation: His university was constant communion with His heavenly Father. Don’t get me wrong: there are a lot of inspired books that will feed your spirit, but we must be connected to the Source of all wisdom first and then indulge in the great books second. First things first. No doubt Hebrew University and Moody Bible Institute and Iowa State University have some very learned people who are totally dedicated to God. But without a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, there is no wisdom—just dead knowledge, information, hot air and glorified nonsense. With the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

This multitude that followed Jesus were hungry for something—bread from heaven. Jesus’ words were spirit and they were life. Jesus Himself was bread that fed men’s souls. Why is it that from the age of fifteen through the age of eighteen I wanted to commit suicide? I had plenty of food, shelter and clothing. I was an atheist at that time and my life was exceedingly miserable because my spiritual life was dead. I needed the bread from heaven to sustain me. I began to pray to God when I was eighteen and I could feel grace come into my life. I was twenty-two when I became born-again and then I became engrafted into the Tree of Life. Even though I struggled with various sins in my early Christian walk, I at least knew where my food came from and, if I prayed for wisdom, He would give it to me.

Jesus withdrew himself to the sea, yet the multitude still followed Him. I would rather be a poor man in America than a rich man anywhere else. Why? Because a poor man in Christ still has the freedom to worship God in America than a rich man in China or Europe. Technically, I am poor, but in Christ, I am very rich. In America I still have the freedom to follow Jesus. Why are so many people still trying to emigrate or illegally immigrate to America? Because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Without the powerful influence of the Gospel in this nation, America would be just another third-world country. The economy, the social mores, the structure of our government is built on the Rock of the Lord Jesus Christ. An unbeliever who immigrates to this country may say that he came here for a good-paying job. How did that good-paying job come about? From thin air? No. There is a freedom in this country that lets believers and unbelievers be very creative and inventive—which help to create jobs. As a hitchhiker that lives by faith, I bet I live better than 90% of the people on this planet. Why? Because I am with the multitude that follow Jesus. The Lord feeds me, He heals me, He casts demons out of my body, He gives me wisdom—He is my economy, my social mores and my government.

And from beyond Jordan. Looks like some of John the Baptist’s buddies are following Jesus—you know, the drug addicts and prostitutes and prophets and hitchhikers who really don’t fit into the satanic-temple-priest-boxmaker-go-to-church-on-Sunday-lip-service-Christian construct. These people that come from beyond the Jordan want life and life in abundance. This life—this Tree of Life—does not come from the study of theology (theology means the study of God—God doesn’t wants us to study and analyze Him, He wants us to abide in Him in faith—not through dead reason) or by jumping through man-made hoops spawned by the traditions and rituals of men. This life can come only through a childlike heart that yearns and wants to follow the Master wherever He leads us. Come and follow Me--not come and think about Me or come and analyze Me. I know that there are strong Christians who are considered theologians, but I must speak bluntly: theology by its very nature and definition is Satanic: it is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Leo Tolstoy once said that theology is the Satanism of religion. This tree has a little bit of good, a lot of evil and leads to spiritual death. It is a stench that rises up to heaven; it is a tree that bears only dead fruit. Before you can study a frog, you have to kill it first.

When they heard what great things he did. Look at their reaction to the work of Jesus. They ran after Him. Look at the reaction of the Pharisees: they wanted to kill Him. They eventually did kill Him and they are still trying to kill Him. A Christian Pharisee is probably the most wicked man on this earth. They are so sure of their doctrine, they are very self-righteous and they prevent others from entering into the Kingdom of Heaven. “You call yourself a prayer walker? You hitchhike because the Lord told you to hitchhike? You don’t preach salvation? Where in Scripture does it say that?” The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Scripture interpreted by dead, Pharisaical, spiritless reason can only kill; Scripture interpreted by a childlike, Spirit-led heart can only give life. Some people miss Christ for the Bible verses: John 5: 39-40: “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”

Do we follow Jesus, or do we follow man? Do we follow revelation or uninspired reason?

And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him. A great multitude. Followed Him. They did not study or analyze Him--they followed Him.

The Spirit Driveth Him into the Wilderness

Mark 1: 12: “And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness.” This verse reminds me so much of what happened in my life back in 1986. I had been working on an apple farm near Embudo, New Mexico for two months. The people I was working for were unbelievers and it was fairly oppressive being around them. Then early one morning, the Lord told me to hit the road—the Spirit drove me from the apple farm to the highway and I hitchhiked all the way to Ellensburg, Washington.

It was all such a relief to get away from those dead, pagan people. I tried to talk to them about the Gospel, but it was like talking to a brick wall. The Lord blessed me so much for leaving that place. I eventually got into a small Pentecostal church in Ellensburg and it was a very good experience; I later got baptized in water by the pastor of that church—Pastor Coussart. That was the first Holy Ghost church I ever attended. It was called Bethel Gospel Church.

When the Holy Ghost drives you into the wilderness, or onto the highway, or into the city—let me tell you: you got to go NOW! Timing is everything. If the Lord wants you to go someplace immediately, then there is a good reason. It may not be your reason, but it will be His reason and that’s all you need to know.

Why did the spirit drive Jesus into the wilderness? Because Jesus obeyed His Father, came to John the Baptist and asked John to baptize Him in the Jordan River. Then when Jesus came up out of the water a voice from heaven said, “Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” All these things happened because Jesus obeyed His Father.

If you don’t obey the Father, then the spirit won’t drive you anywhere. You will go nowhere fast. You will go backwards and trample on His Precious Blood: Hebrews 10: 38-39: “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”

Mark 1: 22: “And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.” No doubt the Presence of God was so powerful in Jesus (the anointing) that His doctrine ran over their karma, which ran over their dogma. So many cars, so many dogs—so little time. When you abide in the Presence of God, it can really discombobulate (I think that is a word) some people. When you live and drive outside the box, you can only run over the karmas and dogmas that love to stay inside the box. The Scribes were inside the box. The Pharisees are inside the box. The box makers have built mansions—or tombs—with whitewashed walls inside the box. So many boxes, so little time.

Box teeth, box taste, box eyes, box everything.

If I hear the word “box” again, I think I am going to vomit.
