Are There Ten Righteous Men in Jackson, Wyoming?

"Sodom and Gomorrah" by Henry Ossawa Tanner

Genesis 18: 23-33:  "And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?   Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?  That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?  And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.   And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:   Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it  And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty’s sake.   And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.   And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty’s sake.  And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.   And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place."

Revelation 3: 14-16:  "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;   I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.   So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

Most people have heard of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.  When Christians think of the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah they think of sexual sin (homosexuality, bestiality, fornication, adultery), pride, idolatry, enviro-paganism (earth worship), etc.  But was Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed by the wrath of God because of wicked, Godless men or because of the lack of righteous, Godly men in those cities?

Many people in Jackson, Wyoming are pro-abortion, pro-homosexual and pro-enviro-pagan.  I have always thought that the Jackson, Wyoming Fire of 2012 was a warning to the wicked, Godless men in Jackson.  Now I believe that the fire of 2012 was a warning to the lukewarm Christians in Jackson.

Godless men have no light and no life in them; they have no answers to life's problems--especially the problem of sin.  Christians do have the answer to life's problems and His name is Jesus.  It is only through the Precious Blood of Jesus that we are cleansed from sin.

If there is no Godly, Christian witness in Jackson, Wyoming, if there is no salt or light of Christ in that town, then how will it be preserved?

Are there ten righteous men in Jackson, Wyoming?

Jeremiah 12: 7-13

This is from the blog Kevin Lotz:

Jeremiah 12: 7-13:  "I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.  Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it.  Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round about are against her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour.  Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.  They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart.   The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.   They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD."  (King James Version)

In the previous two passages, Jeremiah:
  • uncovers a conspiracy to kill him, and the Lord reiterating His promise to protect Jeremiah and punish those involved in the plot (11:18-23)
  • asks the Lord the bigger question of “why does evil flourish?” and God provides an unexpected answer of “take heart; it’s going to get worse”  (12:1-6)
On first reading of today’s passage, it appears the Lord has moved on to a new topic.  Upon further investigation, however, we discover that today’s passage links to the previous two passages.  In essence, the Lord is saying to Jeremiah, “your personal experience of betrayal, heartbreak, and rebellion is just a small taste of what I am experiencing right now.”
In particular, Jeremiah’s family speaking kindly to his face but plotting his demise (v. 6) provides the context for verse 7, where Judah speaks the Lord’s name but worships the foreign gods.  The Lord uses verbal imagery of a father talking about his daughter (“my inheritance”, speaking of Judah in general and Jerusalem in particular) in verses 7 – 9.
God loves His whole household (Judah) and this daughter (Jerusalem) more than words can express. The pain the Lord feels over the self-destruction of the home and the daughter’s shameful behavior break the Father’s heart.  The consequences are inevitable.
When the Lord says, “therefore I hate her” (his daughter Jerusalem) in verse 8, he is expressing the heart-breaking effects of betrayal and defiance.  We often associate love as the opposite of hate.  In fact, the opposite of love is indifference.  The Lord is saying, “I love you more than you could ever know.  I hate what you have become and the choices you have made when I have loved you faithfully your entire life.  It breaks my heart.”
In verse 9, the Lord further expresses His heartbreak as He sees His beautiful daughter go from an honored princess and example of good to the world to being ridiculed and robbed by those whom she chose to associate.
Verses 10 – 13 depict the destruction that will take place at the hands of the invaders from the north.  Th destruction will include the towns and villages all over Judah, as well as the fields and crops that provided their food and living.
May we remember that whatever profound emotions we feel when we are hurt, lied to, and betrayed by those whom we love, the Lord has experienced those same realities at the city, national, and world level.  Indeed, He has walked in our shoes before we have, and still chooses to love His children despite their waywardness.
May we choose to love others unconditionally as He loves us, as we were once His enemies when we walked our selfish path in defiance, rejection, and betrayal of Him.

Hillary Clinton and Jezebel

"The Death of Jezebel" by Gustave Dore

When Bill Clinton was elected in 1992,  I was disturbed that such a man would be in the White House.  For three months, I prayed and asked the Lord why Bill Clinton was elected.  Then the Lord showed me Psalm 92.

Psalm 92: 7:  "When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever."

The Lord puts people in power as He pleases.  The Lord put King Ahab in power in ancient Israel because the people of Israel had turned their backs on the Lord.  Ahab married a very wicked, pagan woman, Jezebel, and Jezebel incited Ahab to sin against the Lord.  Ahab was a weak man and Jezebel was a domineering woman.

I Kings 16: 31-33:  "And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.  And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.  And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him."

I Kings 18: 4:  "For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water."

I Kings 21: 25:  "But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up."

While Bill Clinton was President of the United States, I always told people that Bill Clinton was bad, but that his wife, Hillary, was ten times worse.  To me, Hillary Clinton, was the Jezebel power behind the throne.  She had a big influence on Bill Clinton's life and politics.

I was hitchhiking in Nebraska a number of years ago and this guy picked me up and took me all the way into Oklahoma.  He said that he had a friend that was in the Secret Service.  He said that the Secret Service would fly Hillary Clinton's girlfriends in from Hollywood to the White House every weekend.  So it is no accident that Bill Clinton was pro-homosexual.

Now that more states are making homosexual marriages legal in the United States, you will see more of God's wrath on this country (like the drought, Superstorm Sandy).  Homosexuality is a sin; it is a mockery of God-ordained marriage between a man and a woman.  The sin of homosexuality is like the sin of bestiality.

Right now we have a President, Barack Obama, who is operating under a Satanic anointing.  His Secretary of State is Hillary Clinton.  Demons of a feather flock together.  The sins of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton (they are pro-abortion, pro-homosexual and pro-enviro-pagan) have brought God's judgment on the United States.

II Kings 9: 10:  "And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her."

II Kings 9: 30-33:  "And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.  And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?  And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.  And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.  And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter.  And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.  Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:  And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel."

Revelation 2: 20:  "Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols."

How Rotten Can a Country Get?

King Ahab

This is from the blog Jared Byrns:
Imagine a country that was founded on the worship of the One True God and blessed by Him beyond all imagination. Imagine yourself to be a citizen of that country—one who loves that country and who loves God. Now, imagine that your country has spent the last 70 years drifting away from this godly foundation. What you see around you is that those who lead in the government, the culture, and even the religious establishment have totally forgotten their principles and the reason God put them there in the first place. As the people have wandered further from God, they have followed leaders whose hearts are far from God, and those leaders have led them still further from God in a vicious downward spiral.
The nation is now openly hostile toward God, breaking every commandment they can possibly think of and shaking their collective fist at God, defying Him to do anything about it. They are consumed by lust for power and possessions. Satanic ideas and influences are flaunted throughout society. God’s rules about sex and marriage—set up for our protection—have been thrown out the window. Self-control, once considered virtuous, is treated as an outdated notion, and people are encouraged to throw off all their restraints. The people bow down and worship trees (which they ensure are protected), while parents murder their own children because they’ve been convinced it will make their lives better.
Acts of violence have become commonplace, both against others and against oneself. The Word of Almighty God is given no credibility, while blasphemous spiritual gurus, the positions of stars, the palms of our hands, and visions seen in smoke can authoritatively show the way forward. And anyone who dares claim that God’s Word still applies to man today faces intimidation, exile, or worse.
If you think I’m writing about America, guess again. I actually wrote this while thinking about Israel (the Northern Kingdom) in the 860s BC, during the reign of King Ahab.
  • Ahab was guilty of idolatry the sin of Jeroboam (I Kings 16:31)—who set up golden calves in Bethel and Dan so the people would worship those instead of worshipping God at the Temple in Jerusalem (I Kings 12:28-30).
  • Jeroboam was said to be even more evil than any ruler before him (I Kings 14:9), but Ahab was even worse (I Kings 16:30); so much worse, in fact, that he treated Jeroboam’s sin as a trivial matter (I Kings 16:31).
  • He married a pagan princess named Jezebel, and followed in her pagan worship (I Kings 16:31).
  • He set up an altar to a demonic pagan deity called Baal (I Kings 16:32), whose worship involved ritualized prostitution, child sacrifice, unrestrained behavior, and self-mutilation.
  • He set up groves for the worship of Asherah (I Kings 16:33), whose priestesses practiced divination and fortune telling.
Into this corrupt society, God called Elijah. He sent him right into the heart of power—and the heart of darkness—Ahab’s court. God sent him with a simple point: Enough!
I presented this information at the beginning of my sermon yesterday morning; so what is the point of sharing it with my church and my readers? The point is that you weren’t totally wrong if you thought at first that this was about America: the parallels between America today and Israel 3,000 years ago are shocking. And these are worrisome times for American believers who love this country but recognize that our first loyalty is to a higher kingdom. We love our home, but fear what she is becoming.
We don’t live in a Christian nation anymore and probably haven’t for some time. But that’s no reason to lose hope and throw in the towel. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, and this is not the first time our God has faced this situation. Just as in Elijah’s day, God can and will still use people who are obedient to Him. And our job is not to force people back into some imaginary Golden Age of Christian America; our job is to call others to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. Don’t buy the lie that the darkness can overcome the light. The light wins. God can send revival to His people and awakening to the nation whenever He sees fit; and the darkness is powerless to stop it.
If Elijah has taught me anything, it’s that God’s glory shines brightest when the world looks its darkest.

A Dream about the Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Wyoming

Presbyterian Church in Jackson Hole

Dreams from the LORD 2011-2016
2 July 2016
Last night I had a dream.  It was a very short dream.  I saw the pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Wyoming; his name is Ben Pascal.  Not only did he look feminine, but he looked like a girl---he acted like a girl.
I met Ben Pascal a few times back in 2003.  I went to a couple of Bible studies at the Presbyterian Church at that time.  Ben Pascal came across as being very shallow and very worldly---that's when he was the Youth Pastor.  Now he is the head pastor of the Presbyterian Church.  My guess is that he was hired by the former pastor Paul Hayden and Paul Hayden was not a Christian.  God help the Presbyterian Church and God help Jackson, Wyoming.

Shiloh
By Tim Shey
Brutal deathdance;
My eyes weep blood.
Pharisees smile like vipers,
They laugh and mock their venom:
Blind snakes leading
The deaf and dumb multitude.
Where are my friends?
The landscape is dry and desolate.
They have stretched my shredded body
On this humiliating tree.
The hands that healed
And the feet that brought good news
They have pierced
With their fierce hatred.
The man-made whip
That opened up my back
Preaches from a proper pulpit.
They sit in comfort:
That vacant-eyed congregation.
The respected, demon-possessed reverend
Forks his tongue
Scratching itchy ears
While Cain bludgeons
Abel into silence.
My flesh in tattered pieces
Clots red and cold and sticks
To the rough-hewn timber
That props up my limp, vertical carcase
Between heaven and earth.
My life drips and puddles
Below my feet,
As I gaze down dizzily
On merciless eyes and dagger teeth.
The chapter-and-versed wolves
Jeer and taunt me.
Their sheepwool clothing
Is stained black with the furious violence
Of their heart of stone.
They worship me in lip service,
But I confess,
I never knew them
(Though they are my creation).
My tongue tastes like ashes:
It sticks to the roof of my mouth.
I am so thirsty.
This famine is too much for me.
The bulls of Bashan have bled me white.
Papa, into your hands
I commend my Spirit.
