A Fast-Moving Battlefield

Dreams from the LORD 2003-2006
16 March 2005

I John 1: 6: “If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and we do not live according to the truth; but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.’

“ . . . but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light.”

Abiding in Christ. Obedience. Walking in the light. Light is revelation. When we live a life of obedience, the Lord is always giving us fresh revelation from the Word of God, the Holy Ghost, dreams, visions, having fellowship with like-minded brothers and sisters. The Lord has us on a fast-moving battlefield: things can change very quickly. We must be submitted to the Holy Ghost so that we can adjust and counter any move that Satan makes.

I don’t believe the Lord wants us to react to Satan, but to act when the Lord tells us to act. We must be proactive and not reactive. To be reactionary sounds like we are on the defensive. We are not on the defensive; we are on the offensive. We are continually moving forward: after we are done defeating one satanic stronghold, we go on to the next. We are continually engaging the enemy and defeating his tactics and strategies wherever the Lord puts us. There is no stagnation or stasis in the Body of Christ: we engage, defeat; engage, defeat.

General George Patton: “We are advancing constantly and are not interested in holding anything, except the enemy. We’re going to hold onto him and kick the hell out of him all the time.”

If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we will only defeat the enemy and kick the hell out of him all the time.

Obedience: The Bondage Breaker

  1. I was pleasantly surprised to see the stats on this post this morning. It broke the record for pageviews in a twenty-four hour period. You never know which post people will respond to the most.

We are most definitely in a fast-moving battlefield. This is why we need to be submitted to Christ everyday. He is revealing things to us everyday on what He wants us to do.

The Lord is the Commander-in-Chief and we are his foot soldiers. Obedience is better than sacrifice. It's a military thing.
