The Next President of the United States

Dreams from the LORD 2007-2010
7 October 2010

Last night I had a dream where I was in a room in the White House (it may have been the lobby just outside the Oval Office). I was talking with President Barack Obama. Then this other guy walked into the room. He was the next President of the United States. He looked at Barack Obama and asked, “When are you going to leave? When are you going to resign?”

  1. Milton Friedman Quotes

“If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there'd be a shortage of sand.”

“Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.”

“The Great Depression, like most other periods of severe unemployment, was produced by government mismanagement rather than by any inherent instability of the private economy.”

“The greatest advances of civilization, whether in architecture or painting, in science and literature, in industry or agriculture, have never come from centralized government.”

“The most important single central fact about a free market is that no exchange takes place unless both parties benefit.”

“Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.”

“We have a system that increasingly taxes work and subsidizes nonwork.”

    Milton Friedman, Economist (1912-2006)

  2. Come visit Australia sometime... Cant wait for another election... Our PM is turning our country into a cesspool with the help of her Green Party "allies" It is what happen when Australian Christians vote without thinking, without praying and with little consideration for what each party and party representative stands for.
Seriously, tho, Australia is a cool place check out :OD

  3. Thank you for your comment.

I have never been to Australia. My great grandfather lived in Australia for thirteen years probably in the 1850s and 1860s--he was Potato Famine Irish. He herded sheep and prospected for gold in Australia. He then went back to Ireland, married a Roscommon girl and settled in Iowa in the United States.

God willing, maybe I will be able to visit Australia someday.

  4. truthfully, every nation is beautiful, or at least has elements of beauty, but ultimately, as we are in the 'end times' when we meet in heaven, we will be blessed to see many of the things that we were unable to travel to, to see in this short life.
I look forward to seeing God's creation through eternal eyes, not just these week fleshy eyes :O)
So see you in heaven brother, if not in aussie-land :O)

  6. PRAY FOR OBAMA

Today I received an email from a friend. Here is the email:

    Psalm 109:8

My wife and I were in slow-moving traffic the other day and we were stopped behind a car that had an unusual Obama bumper sticker on it. It read: "Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8".

When we got home my wife got out the Bible and opened it up to the scripture. She started laughing & laughing. Then she read it to me. I couldn't believe what it said. I had a good laugh, too.

Psalm 109:8: "Let his days be few and brief; and let others step forward to replace him."

At last -- I can honestly voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Look it up -- it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray.

Brothers and Sisters, can I get an AMEN ?
