Victor Davis Hanson in American Greatness reminds us that for the last three years, we have been living through something unique in American History, an attempted coup against the legitimately elected President, by the bureaucracy. With the help, of course, of the so-called news media, and much of the coastal elite. Here’s VDH:

[T]he illegal effort to destroy the 2016 Trump campaign by Hillary Clinton campaign’s use of funds to create, disseminate among court media, and then salt among high Obama administration officials, a fabricated, opposition smear dossier failed.

So has the second special prosecutor phase of the coup to abort the Trump presidency failed. There are many elements to what in time likely will become recognized as the greatest scandal in American political history, marking the first occasion in which U.S. government bureaucrats sought to overturn an election and to remove a sitting U.S. president.

Preparing the Battlefield

No palace coup can take place without the perception of popular anger at a president. 

The deep state is by nature cowardly. It does not move unless it feels it can disguise its subterranean efforts or that, if revealed, those efforts will be seen as popular and necessary—as expressed in tell-all book titles such as fired FBI Directors James Comey’s Higher Loyalty or in disgraced Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s psychodramatic The Threat.

In candidate and President Trump’s case that prepping of the battlefield translated into a coordinated effort among the media, political progressives and celebrities to so demonize Trump that his imminent removal likely would appear a relief to the people. Anything was justified that led to that end.

All through the 2016 campaign and during the first two years of the Trump presidency the media’s treatment, according to liberal adjudicators of press coverage, ran about 90 percent negative toward Trump—a landmark bias that continues today.

Journalists themselves consulted with the Clinton campaign to coordinate attacks. From the Wikileaks trove, journalistic grandees such as John Harwood, Mark Leibovich, Dana Milbank, and Glenn Thrush often communicated (and even post factum were unapologetic about doing so) with John Podesta’s staff to construct various anti-Trump themes and have the Clinton campaign review or even audit them in advance.

Some contract “journalists” apparently were paid directly by Fusion GPS—created by former reporters Glen Simpson of the Wall Street Journal and Susan Schmidt of the Washington Post—to spread lurid stories from the dossier. Others more refined like Christiane Amanpour and James Rutenberg had argued for a new journalistic ethos that partisan coverage was certainly justified in the age of Trump, given his assumed existential threat to The Truth. Or as Rutenberg put it in 2016: “If you view a Trump presidency as something that’s potentially dangerous, then your reporting is going to reflect that. You would move closer than you’ve ever been to being oppositional. That’s uncomfortable and uncharted territory for every mainstream, non-opinion journalist I’ve ever known, and by normal standards, untenable. But the question that everyone is grappling with is: Do normal standards apply? And if they don’t, what should take their place?”

But as far as most of America is concerned, they do, and all concerned will, I think, pay a price for their foolishness. If they don’t, well America will change, and not for the better. There are two years left of Trump’s first term, it’s time to clean house.

And there is a hell of a lot of trash needing to be taken out. It’s time to begin, now that we can all see the dim outline of the beast, slouching across the horizon.

Hard to improve on VDH’s ending, so I won’t even try.

In sum, the Left and the administrative state, in concert with the media, after failing to stop the Trump campaign, regrouped. They ginned up a media-induced public hysteria, with the residue of the Hillary Clinton campaign’s illegal opposition research, and manipulated it to put in place a special counsel, stocked with partisans.

Then, not thugs in sunglasses and epaulettes, not oligarchs in private jets, not shaggy would-be Marxists, but sanctimonious arrogant bureaucrats in suits and ties used their government agencies to seek to overturn the 2016 election, abort a presidency, and subvert the U.S. Constitution. And they did all that and more on the premise that they were our moral superiors and had uniquely divine rights to destroy a presidency that they loathed.

Shame on all these failed conspirators and their abettors, and may these immoral people finally earn a long deserved legal and moral reckoning.

I fear that we may, with Yeats, see an awful vision.

“And I will make of you a great nation and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].

“And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language towards you; in you ALL the families and kindred of the earth will be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves].” (Genesis 12:1-3 Amplified Bible)

I was reminded of this passage last weekend as being the explanation for the amazing news of financial markets in the US defying the tumult convulsing rest of the world!

Bloomberg reports: “If we looked at the world through just a U.S. lens, it would all seem quite sublime. Geopolitics and geo-tensions are far from it, however,” Marty Mitchell, former head government bond trader at Stifel Nicolaus & Co. and now an independent strategist, said in his daily newsletter Thursday. “It’s just a strange and disconcerting world that we live in, yet the U.S. equity market and the U.S. economy just keep chugging along”; …‘for now, investors may have good reason to be confident in U.S. assets amid the global turmoil. (but) that doesn’t mean they can ignore the events offshore, such as Turkey,’ says Peter Boockvar, chief investment officer of Bleakley Financial Group.”

To me this speaks of a consequential blessing coming upon the United States because president Trump recognises Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state of Israel and therefore relocated the US embassy there. (The next day Guatemala moved theirs too and their ambassador reports that on the day its doors opened no crime was reported in her homeland for the first time in its history! – ICEJ editorial, Word From Jerusalem.)

Just discovered this ‘God-incidence’ on getting back online and dipping into Veronika’s facebook. Like another piece of an invisible jigsaw coming together, she posted this last Thursday on Ignite Ireland Ministry as I posted an overview of Scriptural Meditation on Parliamentary Plotting:

AN URGENT WORD CONCERNING THE EUROPEAN UNION (the Bloc) AND THE NATIONS OF EUROPE.

WATCH! A DIVINE DISMANTLING AND TOTAL DESTRUCTION; DIVINE RESTORATION, REGENERATION AND KINGDOM REFORMATION.

This afternoon I was having an extended time of prayer and worship when I was caught up in a powerful Vision, where I was shown the European Union Flag. Now as I looked at the EU flag in the vision, I saw that it covered the whole of Europe like a large blanket. Now as I looked again at the EU flag my eyes were immediately drawn to the 12, 5-sided gold stars that sit in the centre of the flag, now as I stayed looking at the 12 stars, I heard these words,

Now as I heard those words, suddenly I saw a mighty Whirlwind of Fire coming out of the heavens, and I watched as it began to sweep across the Nations of Europe with great power and unstoppable momentum. As I looked at the mighty Whirlwind of Fire moving across the land, I heard these words echo in the realm of the Spirit,

“THE WHIRLWIND OF FIRE NOW COMES TO PURIFY AND CLEANSE THE LAND, FOR NOW IS THE TIME FOR DIVINE RESTORATION, REGENERATION AND KINGDOM REFORMATION IN THE NATIONS OF EUROPE”!

"I warn you now that the European institution will not repent, even though I bring disaster and destruction upon it. I urge you, O Britain still beloved by Me for the sake of your godly forefathers, come out of her, so that you may not be caught up in that same destruction, for I am even now arising in judgment to bring to nothing what she has sought to achieve. If you will separate yourself from her declared rejection of God, I will have mercy upon you and restore my hand of protection; and I will use you once again to bring light to many lost in the darkness which is now steadily increasing.

"Hear Me, O once godly nation and respond to my call, or you also will come to ruin in that same judgment of destruction. This is not my will for you, but you must choose the course which you will take. This would be as a result of its President’s radically different approach to Israel.  The following prophetic insights came to Charlie within weeks of Trump’s inauguration.

PRAYER SHIELD: UNITED STATES EMBASSY WILL  MOVE TO JERUSALEM

Today I saw walls of protection going up around the United States of America. I heard the Lord say, “I have given the country the Key of David.” I saw the Key come down and rest over Washington, D.C. and I saw the address change at the White House to read ‘Isaiah 22:22’ And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. I saw a door of destruction has been closed over the nation and a door of blessing will be opened; American you have nothing to fear! The Lord says,

“I have locked out your enemies and no harm will come to you. Those who seek your demise will be stopped at your borders from this day forward.”

I suddenly was taken to Israel and saw the borders of Israel pushed out and a door standing closed over Jerusalem. I said, “what is this Lord?” I heard the Lord say,

“This is a door of blessing for America, I have given them the key to victory in the Middle East. They shall open the door and do what others were afraid to.”

I saw this Key open the door and a flood of blessing came down. I heard the Lord say that two blessings will come to America when the US moves its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. First the Lord will pour out a blessing over the United States Dollar, it will soar to new heights and secondly I saw the name David come out for the door and the Lord said there will come a man like David from the United States, a military man who will have a great mind. 2016 saw the day of ‘the outsider’ formally known as Donald Trump rise to his title of acclaim as the ‘disruptive candidate’. Since his 2016 rise to power his influence today is shaking the world as his unapologetic campaign ‘America First’ leaves the rest of the world’s seemingly unified leaders speculating as to the unpredictability of this ‘president of chaos’. On December 21st 2017, the United Nations voted 128-9 to condemn United States’ embassy move to Jerusalem despite warnings from US Ambassador Nikki Haley that acts by the United Nations against US democracy will not be taken lightly.

The Countries that voted in solidarity with Israel include Guatelmala, Honduras, Israel, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Togo.

Recently, Prophet Tomi Arayomi visited the United Nations and had the opportunity to prophesy to many United Nations’ workers, Christians in government and diplomats. What the Lord revealed to him concerning the United Nations should poise all involved in government at Geneva to both feel hopeful and prayerful during 2018 and the next three years.

Tomi’s prophetic account reads:

“The Lord showed me a picture of His view concerning the United Nations.  I saw an underground movement of peoples devoted to the reform of the United Nations rising to prominent positions of influence and change.  I also saw the Lord laughing not in jubilee but it was the mocking laughter of Psalm 2:

‘Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, let us break their chains and throw off their shackles. The one enthroned in heaven laughs!’ (Psalm 2:1-4)

“The Lord showed me president Donald Trump as a literal Cyrus for Israel’s sake!

‘For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honour, though you do not acknowledge me.’ (Isaiah 45:4)

“Watch as the Lord begins to use an outsider to bring about chaos in the United Nations. The world will gather to condemn and the mainstream media will echo the voice of a global elite. The ‘establishment church’ will rise to condemn the capitalisation of Israel. There will be great cries for impeachment and when asked ‘on what grounds?’, the world stage will condemn a man whose hand is sustained by God of disrupting the diplomacy of the United Nations and stoking possible world wars!  World leaders will link arms in solidarity against a Nationalist candidate but I will show forth the weak links in their chain! Yes they will link arms but there are ‘chinks in their chain.’

“In the midst of great boast I will raise up sheep Nations.  There will be those that will stand with Israel and some will move their embassies back to Jerusalem even before the United States. They will do it as a sign of protest and as a sign of my laughter over Jerusalem. You will hear of the unheard Nations, nameless and faceless Nations, that I will give a name and a face for their solidarity with Israel. I will fulfil my promise that says- Jerusalem- I will bless those that bless you!

“I will laugh at their gathering against My name and My anointed Nation and I will call for the unheard and unnamed Nations to move their embassies back to My Holy City. 

“Tel Aviv! Your loyalties will be shaken by my laughter! Your embassies will tremble at my jest! For I will shake you with My laughter!!”

Britain's Shackles Now Shattered

Have you ever felt fetters fall away? The invisible, spiritual sort that satan shackles all those with who allow it a foothold to gain a grip upon their souls. The time that happened to me is etched upon my soul. Upon internally hearing, “Burn what you’ve collected – now!” I took articles from my life spent in occult study into the garden, put a match to them and repented. Immediately, I unmistakably felt heavy chains fall from both wrists! As in Charles Wesley’s glorious hymn ‘And Can It Be?’ – “My chains fell off, my heart was free. I rose, went forth and followed thee!”

Thus, the following two words circulated by UK Prophetic Words on this theme resonate deeply with me. Although 12 years apart, the timing seems significant (see footnote):

BREXIT and GREAT BRITAIN – THE SHACKLES HAVE BEEN BROKEN!

I’d been agitated all day (as had others on team here) but since midnight was really praying re Brexit. Immediately felt God say “DECREE don’t pray!”.

I started to decree “Brexit shall happen in the name of Jesus!”.

Immediately, I saw a massive sledgehammer slam down on a huge, thick chain link. I kept decreeing. Each time I did the sledgehammer fell. I saw the first link break, then became aware of another. Kept decreeing until it broke, then two further chains. At this point I saw they had been around the legs of a large male LION. Now I could see a thick iron collar, blindfold and muzzle. I kept decreeing. The iron collar opened and dropped off, as did the blindfold.

I could sense the lion’s anger and a roar building. The moment the muzzle fell away it roared mightily, leapt forward and grabbed the enemy, Satan, by the throat, shaking and dispatching it (rather like Aslan with the white witch). I kept decreeing but now the scene changed.

The lion had on a royal red robe, was wearing a crown and had a sceptre of authority. I knew it was releasing MANDATES. There was an immense sense of PEACE, ORDER, and AUTHORITY.

My sense throughout it all was that the LION was representing GREAT BRITAIN (as is often seen on the coat of arms) and that the enemy was responsible for the shackles. The lion’s STRENGTH on being released was immense.

Then the Lord showed me a large lion – and He said – “This lion represents the nation of Great Britain” – And it was a shocking sight – for where the lion should have been filled out and sleek and gleaming – it was almost a skeleton – and its mane was barely visible – and its coat was covered in mange – and its roar which should have shaken the nations in its power and in its ferocity was strangled and barely audible. And the Lord said, “This represents both the glory of this nation at present and the state of My Church as a whole in Great Britain”. And I saw in great letters – the words – “THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED FROM THE LION – BUT THE GLORY OF THE LORD OF HOSTS SHALL RETURN AND THE LION SHALL ROAR AGAIN.”

And the Lord said – “Bring back My glory – Bring back My glory that your nation may once more walk in the glory of its destiny – and the Church may show forth My glory” – And the Lord showed me huge flourishing green tree that was planted in the European mainland – its huge trunk seemed to be PLANTED in BRUSSELS and the foliage had grown so dense that the trees branches and foliage had grown over the English channel and covered Britain in a great dark shadow and thousands of smaller offshoots and branches had taken deep root in Great Britain – and I saw the roots tangled and grown into London and then through the British Isles up all the way to Scotland.

The Lord said – “These are the deep roots of secularism and humanism that have taken deep root in this nation – these are the roots that are eroding this nation’s faith!” And I saw thousands upon thousands of people bowing in obedience to this tree and the roots were tightly twisted around their ankles – but they seemed totally unaware of this – that they were bound – and so they rejected the faith of their fathers – and I saw a great scoffing and a great decline in the traditions and the foundations of the past – and this mass of people was divided into two camps – the first huge mass of people whose ankles were bound by the gnarling roots of the green tree from Europe were younger and seemed more modern in their approach – and I saw written over their head – ‘UNBELIEF’ – ‘CYNICISM’ – ‘HUMANISM’ – and the foliage and green leaves seemed to shadow their heads – and I sensed that they were being attacked at a cerebral level.”

But the second group seemed to be those whose roots and foundations were from the established traditional denominations of Britain – yet they were just as affected as this first group – but I saw written over their head – ‘PRIDE’ – ‘SKEPTICISM’ – ‘CLOSED MINDEDNESS’ and I sensed that the roots around their ankles had bound them in a different manner – that even if they heard the call of the Spirit in these days that the spiritual forces had them so bound that they could not move with the tide and the times of God – and I saw the green foliage literally cover and shadow their foreheads and eyes and I saw the word blinding.”

And I said to the Lord, “Father – what does this mean?” And He said – “The spirits that led Europe into post-Christian decline – have invaded Great Britain over these past decades – and have infiltrated and overshadowed the nation with the same humanism and paganism and secularism – and yet Britain is still so blinded by her roots and her foundations that she is still declaring herself a Christian nation” – but the Lord says that – “She has been shackled by the enemy.” And I said “Lord what can break the shackles?”

And the Lord spoke and said,“The prayers and fervent supplications of My saints in Great Britain – the repentance for the sins of commission and omission on behalf of the governments of Great Britain – on behalf of the people of Great Britain.”

Then as people dropped to their knees all over Britain from every walk of life and denomination – the lion started to change – and He grew strong and sleek and his roar grew stronger. And I saw written in the spirit – “Create in me a clean heart O God – and renew a right spirit within me“. And as the people started to seek the face of the Lord I saw the word ‘COURAGE’ – and I knew that in the spirit realm that Great Britain had been endowed from the beginning of time with the mantle ‘COURAGE’ – and the Lord said,

"LIONHEART".

And God said Britain has yet to move into her end time destiny in the nations – And I saw again in great letters – the words –

“THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED FROM THE LION – BUT THE GLORY OF THE LORD OF HOSTS SHALL RETURN”.

And the lion’s roar by now had gained strength.

A WORD FOR AMERICA AND THE UNITED KINGDOM; THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE!

“A MIGHTY RIVER OF GOLD AND SILVER; THE POWER OF GLORY AND REDEMPTION IS SHIFTING AND RESHAPING THE NATIONS IN THIS HOUR “!

Today while praying for the Nations, suddenly a very powerful vision opened up before me where I saw a large gold hand coming out of the Nation of America, I watched closely as the gold hand reached up high into the heavens.

Then suddenly I saw a large silver hand coming out of the United Kingdom and it too reached up high into the heavens, I watched intently as the silver hand of the United Kingdom and the gold hand of America came together and began to shake hands and as the two hands shook, I felt the earth tremble and the ground beneath my feet began to move and shift.

Then suddenly out of heavens came a third large hand, but it was a hand of blazing fire, I watched as the hand of fire came to rest upon the shaking hands of silver and gold, Suddenly the blazing hand of fire intensified in heat causing the hand of silver and the hand of gold to melt, I watched closely as the two precious metals melted into one another forming one mighty river of molten gold and silver.

And then I heard these words, “UNITY AND FREEDOM, GLORY AND REDEMPTION”

Then I watched as the river moved with great force and in great power, I watched as the river of gold and silver suddenly turned and broke forth upon the Nations of the earth and wherever the river of gold and silver flowed the mighty waters rose causing the landscape to be changed and transformed, then I watched closely as great fires broke out upon these Nations, the blazing fires of purification and revival, fires that will not be quenched but will only burn brighter and brighter.

Then suddenly out of the heavens I heard these words, “WATCH! FOR THE NATION OF AMERICA AND THE UNITED KINGDOM SHALL SHAKE HANDS AND THE TWO SHALL FORM A STRONG ALLIANCE AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE IN PURPOSE, ONE IN VISION AND ONE IN GREAT VICTORY.

WATCH! FOR THE RIVER OF MY GLORY AND REDEMPTION SHALL NOW FLOW FORTH UPON THE NATIONS CAUSING A TIDAL WAVE OF TRANSFORMATION AND CHANGE, FOR EVEN IN THIS HOUR BELOVED THE POWER OF MY GLORY AND REDEMPTION IS SHIFTING AND RESHAPING THE LANDSCAPE OF THESE GREAT NATIONS AND THE FIRES OF PURIFICATION AND REVIVAL SHALL BURN, BURN, BURN”, says God.
